Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is extremely old and worn down, and the entire interior reflects that. The beds were rock hard and very uncomfortable. We booked this hotel specifically because it had a swimming pool, but the pool was closed for renovation. This was not mentioned anywhere when we made the reservation. We even contacted the hotel through the app before our stay, but never received a reply. We stayed for two nights but left early on the second morning and therefore did not have breakfast. Unfortunately, the hotel said they could not compensate us because the booking had been made through Hotels.com. In any case, the breakfast was not worth the price. The staff, however, were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, that was not enough to make up for the poor condition of the hotel, which was simply not worth the money.

Nice hotel, spa and breakfast

Nice hotel, a little old, however refurbished and rooms fully up to date. Hotel is in very nice area and you get 5 hours in the swimming pool with your room. Good breakfast - allthough scrambled eggs are standing from opening to closing - 4 hours. Restaurant could improve - food was ok, but ordered an Entrecote and got a flat ribeye - changed sides from french fries to patato salad, which according to the waiter was ok - but then - later with the bill a charge of 2 Eur for changing. I think this action explains the service level, we are at.

My stay in Bad Urach was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in the gentle hills of the Swabian Alb, this hotel offers spectacular panoramic views that immediately create a sense of peace and connection with nature. Waking each morning to misty mountains, lush greenery, and the quiet charm of the surrounding landscape was truly unforgettable. One of the highlights of the stay was the exceptional dining experience. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, showcasing regional flavors with a refined touch. From the comforting warmth of traditional Swabian dishes to the delightful desserts, every bite reflected quality and care. The refreshing Alb-Schorle and elegant candlelit ambiance added to the overall sense of relaxation and indulgence. The location is ideal for both relaxation and exploration. Situated conveniently near the AlbThermen and within easy reach of scenic hiking trails and the charming town center, the hotel serves as a perfect base for discovering the natural beauty and cultural richness of Bad Urach. Whether enjoying a peaceful walk among blooming tulips, venturing to nearby waterfalls, or simply unwinding in the thermal baths, everything is accessible and inviting. What makes this hotel particularly special is its versatility. It is perfect for solo travelers seeking tranquility and reflection, couples looking for a romantic getaway, and families eager to explore the outdoors while enjoying comfortable accommodations.
