"First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. Gratefully."

"Loved our stay here, Martin at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic, it was very spacious and had a balcony. The room was updated and modern. The breakfast was okay at best, very basic selection. There is pay parking in the underground garage or limited free parking in front of hotel. The hotel is a bit of a hike from the town centre, there is a short cut but it is very steep and not for the faint of heart. Room had kettle with basic coffee/tea supplies which was nice. Overall had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!"

"Although not in the Old Town, Gengenbach is small, so nothing is far away. The hotel is so quiet, it was lovely and peaceful to be that little bit away from the main part of town, only 10 minutes walk. The room was huge, with a comfortable bed, sitting area, minibar, safe, and a strong shower. The breakfast was a cold buffet, but choices were plentiful, and the coffee was very good. Highly recommend!"
