"A little way out of ayuthayya but the manager (who played the part of doting father to us) provided free transport to and from town which was maybe 10 mins away from the resort. The staff could not have been friendlier or done more for us, this may be as we were pretty much the only guests at the time in between busy periods but I cannot fault the staff. Breakfast left a little to be desired but otherwise absolutely no complaints, throughly enjoyed our stay"
"Nice hotel with a quite setting away from all the the crowds and noise. beautiful setting. short drive to most attractions (20 minutes), town and shopping malls. "
"This is a fantastic property both inside and out. The staff were all welcoming. And they were efficient in responding to my request. Loved room and space. Food was delicious. The view of the river with various traditional barges and temples across the river bank was an absolutely beautiful view in morning and night. I will rebook this property for sure. "
"The room we reserved did not have a river view and balcony. They did move us but smaller room and it had a balcony. Staff does not seem very happy. Have to take shoes off to go upstairs to your room. "
"Nice bungalow hotel very near the temple area, night marked and restaurants
I recommend you boom a Tuk Tuk via the reception for the temple tour - it’s the same price and will save you a walk and scouting for a driver "

You can browse the exhibits at Japanese Village, a museum with a story of its own, during your holiday in Ko Rian. While in the area, you can find time to visit its temples.
Don't forget to walk through the ruins at night when the floodlights are on. Stunning. Best way to see the sites is the boat tour along the river. It's a 3 stop, 2 hr tour in the early evening. You may even see an alligator!

The temples of Ayutthaya are breathtaking. Should be on your "must see" list if you come to Thailand.

We went in what passes for mid-Winter in Thailand. It was still hot, in excess of 33c so we made the most of early starts to see what we could before midday then relaxed out of the sun in the rustic lounge area overlooking the river.

There are a lot of stray dogs, which for international travelers poses a problem because we don't normally deal with rabies shots. Food and ruins were nice.

"Staying at Athithara Homestay in Ayutthaya was an amazing experience. The place is incredibly peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully designed in traditional Thai style. From the moment I walked into my room, called 'Pasuk Room' in Thai, I was welcomed by a delightful aromatherapy scent that made me feel instantly at ease. Everything was spotless and well-maintained.
The staff were incredibly kind and made me feel like I was visiting family. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, truly a home away from home. And the breakfast—absolutely delicious! I wish I could have eaten more!
This homestay gave me the perfect vacation experience, and I would love to return. Highly recommended!"
"The property is in a safe, quiet area next to the river. Our Garden Room was clean, spacious and with plenty of storage. The staff were very friendly and made sure you wanted for nothing. There was a good variety and plentiful breakfast that was served to you by the river. Transport was easily arranged for wherever you wanted to go, and at a reasonable cost. It was lovely to sit in the well maintained garden for a drink next to the river. Highly recomended."
