Excellent stop over

Excellent stop over. Lovely bright room, no noice from the road. Very clean and well presented, easy parking outside room. Would recommend for a short stay.

Good stop over option

It feels more like an American motel but fine for a stop off and useful having the garage with a Londis nearby. Strange set up with no reception if you arrive late but the Manager meets you at the adjoining service station. I’d stay there again fo a night.

Clean, tidy and the family room was very spacious. Noise from main road is quite loud but that's to be expected. Breakfast was lovely and staff friendly.

Minor issues

No one on reception when arrived. Had to find out for ourselves how to get key and other info. Once inside was quite comfortable.

Happy holiday maker

We were well received by the team at work when we arrived with anything we could possibly ask for and couldn't find any thing wrong that they could not fix, And the food was most excellent thanks again to all of the staff. Would be happy to recommend this stop anytime

I LIKE THE FACT THAT I COULD HAVE A VEGETARIAN BREAKFAST EVERY DAY, THAT I HAD FREE PARKING AND IT WAS ADJACENT TO A PETROL STATION FOR FUEL AND THAT THERE WAS A PUB SERVING HOT MEALS WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE PLUS ITS LOCATION MADE TRAVELLING BY CAR TO VISIT OTHER PLACES VERY EASY.

The welcome and room were excellent. Very large, newly refurbished room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Could hear next doors TV but no other noise. So handy to park right outside. The restaurant/diner was closing at 6.30pm which we didnt expect but there is a pub within easy walking distance. We however took a short drive to an Indian Restaurant on an Industrial Estate which was great. The Breakfast in the morning was great but their system seemed to be rather chaotic with everyone receiving tbe wrong order. Overall excellent value for money and would try and book again when in tbe area.

Unexpectedly lovely!

The room was really lovely, clean and well-decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The tv was tiny, but there are more important things in the world! No noise from the nearby road or services. We had a very comfortable night, and I'd definitely stay again.

Staff come before customers

The accomadation was very basic but clean and comfortable, They did have a garden with picnic bench for the staff to sit and smock at but guest were not allowed to use it instead we were told to go and sit at the front of the building by the busy A35 (we don’t smoke) needless to say we didn’t. Brackfast was good when it eventually arrive after45 mins

Good value

A35 Pit Stop is next to a garage and when you arrive it does not give a good impression. However ignore this and you will find a pleasant welcome. The ‘motel’ type rooms are at the back and well sheltered from the road, no intrusive noise could be heard. The room we had was comfortable with the usual facilities. The cafe at the front is clean and the food simple but good. Breakfast is included and was a full English. Recommend.

Basic but comfortable, good value.

Very convenient for Lyme Bay resorts, good value for money. The only downside is the noise from the road, there's a fair bit of heavy traffic. It's not too bad but light sleepers might want to take ear plugs.

Only downside was the breakfast. We had a long wait and it wasn’t clear what was included. For example you couldn’t have coffee and juice it was one or the other. Also cereal came with the cooked breakfast.

Clean room but Bad heating system

Room was nice and clean, access was nice. The inly problem which was a biigy for me was the heating going off after 11 ish and it was a cold night too. Could not sleep as the blanket was not warm enough to cover the heater isdue. I did text the emergency number in booklet but obviously no responce. That is a shame it did happen. I guess it was on some sort of a timer, working for 10 min in whole 24 hours. I did tell the guy in reception and he said “ i ll mention it “ as if that will make any difference. Seat in the room very shabby and cheap, tv very small.

Nice hotel

The staff are really nice and the breakfast was nice too, plenty on the plate, room was ok but bed was very uncomfortable, parking spaces.at back should be numbered for the rooms, every one was friendly, meals was a bit pricy, would have been nice to have a welcome back with leaflets.in for what's around like fast food places, but I enjoyed my stay

Great room (room 1)

Perfect room with all amenities you need. Annexe at the side with ample parking right outside your door. Pleasant staff and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely stop here again.
