"Breakfast great. No air conditioning and the flies off the lake are bad when you have to open the windows. Lady at checkout was incredibly slow and would not let us leave our keys so missed the boat. Otherwise excellent location and as expected."

"The view was better than the photos you see on the website it’s magical :) Good breakfast. The reception ladies can be more helpful / informative about booking taxi and rides around the area as it’s not very accessible be very appreciated as it can get very stressful missing flights and stuff."

"The property could have worked on the outdoor landscape better . Ants were noticeable on the premise . It was a pricey stay . But, would not stay without a lakeside view . The bedroom did not face any mountain view as described . Only , over grown greenery is what we saw from bedroom window . The host treated us with a bottle of wine as a welcomed guest . Much appreciated ."

"Historic hotel was an excellent choice for a 3 night holiday. Loved the outdoor swimming pool which was very warmby the lake. Also very nice to test out the lake swimming pool next to it to get an idea of actual temperature. Breakfast was superb especially the made to order omelettes, fried eggs, real honeycomb and different assortment of breads including especially delicious cheese rolls. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive. A daily Rossl Post kept you informed of events in the coming 24 hours. We took the Schafberg cog railway up to the top of the mountains which was expensive but well worth it. Book ahead if you know it will be a sunny and clear day as it was incredible. Make sure you take good shoes with grip and go right to the top. The room of hotel was incredible and the view out on to the lake was breathtaking. Staff on reception were very attentive to your needs and when we turned up at hotel we were greeted with glass of prosecco. A nice touch! If the bank balance can take it, I shall definitely be heading back!"

"The hotel is fantastic for its category, with a great location once you arrive. It’s a little far from the main road, but absolutely worth the drive. The receptionist I met was excellent — very helpful, polite, well‑mannered, and accommodating. The hotel offers a good breakfast and has a beautiful outdoor seating area with mountain views. I stayed in room 211, which had comfortable bedding and a clean bathroom with a nice standing shower. I would definitely stay here again and hope to get a front‑facing room next time for an even better view."

"Visit Grundslee and the stay at the Mondi Hotel if you are looking for a quiet, scenic, and romantic getaway. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Susanne at The front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms at the hotel. Get a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the lake. You won’t regret it. Hotel rooms a clean and spacious, even for our party of 4. The breakfast was included and was very, very good. They also have a pretty good restaurant. Again with great views of the lake. On the downside, there isn’t very much for kids to do. There is a very, very small playground close to the lake but that’s about it. You can walk along the lake but the kids are over it in a couple of hours. The grounds could be challenging explore if you have mobility issues. Somewhat hilly. Grounds need a serious landscape redesign. Great for couples but I would spend more than one day with young kids."

"The breakfast was great and there were healthier options than other locations. Hotel rooms and bathrooms appear recently renovated and very clean. Staff is kind and answers questions but available only before 12 noon"
