A great place for a quick stop between long drives. The staff were wonderful and the rooms were very clean. The lack of air conditioning in the bedroom made our stay a little uncomfortable in the high heat, with the fan offering little relief. Overall I would recommend the hotel, but perhaps more so for cooler times of year!

Great place!
Beautiful and comfortable place, great food, we really enjoyed it. There was a moment when we were upset after realizing that someone has entered our room without our permission while we are gone for only 20 minutes. We noticed that the beds are made but we didn't think that was important enough to intrude our privacy. However, very soon we discovered that in both beds the staff had put the hot-water bags to warm them up for us. It was a perfect gift for such a cold night so our disappointment immediately turned into delight.

Wonderful hotel, great location.
Staff was incredibly helpful and very nice. Food was great and the whole set up of the hotel was great. Nice bar/ lounge area and outdoor seating. We used Aus as a stopping point on the way to Sossusvlei, which was very convenient. The hotel helped us plan a day trip to Luderitz, which was well worth it. Would definitely stay again.

dated but friendly service
We came with 2 couples and each had different room cat ordered. unpon check in we each got the same room. The thought we have 2 people so why give them the family room eventough the rate was more. we did get the room which was ordered after we asked. Hotel is dated. village is dead. not much to see do around food ( if available) was good

The Hotel is a real Hotel in the middle of nowhere. The Staff is exremely friendly and kind. The restaurant is very good and extremely professional. The price is reasonable.

Deutsche Gründlichkeit
Voor de tweede keer in Bahnhof maar nu ook voor een overnachting. Met name de receptionist was een zeer aardige en behulpzame man. We waren de enige hotel- en restaurantgasten op Kerstavond. Het eten was goed.

Perfect hotel voor korte stop
Hotel is bekend in streek, personeel is professioneel en vriendelijk. Kamers zijn perfect in orde, wel niet luxueus. Hotel heeft een leuk Duits aanvoelend bar-restaurant. Parking is afgesloten en wordt bewaakt.

Endroit surprenant !
Village perdu mais se trouve hôtel au bord de la route , accueil un peu froid (pourtant ce jour là il n'y avait pas foule nous +un client alors !!!) Hôtel très propre , extérieur côté cour agréable petite terrasse joliment décoré d'anciennes choses, chambre bien décoré ,très propre (je pense que le propriétaire devrait changer les fenêtres de la rue trop de bruit dommage ) Repas super délicieux une serveuse super gentille , rigolote et jolie . manger leur super dessert très originaux . Et de cet hôtel aller visiter le village englouti a voir ainsi que l'endroit village , bord de mer .

Very nice hotel
Good service. Nice hotel with good very good food. Breakfast also delicious. Only thing missing Wifi in the rooms (wifi only in restaurant) and no AC in rooms, but fan was okay.

Gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in Nord-Süd-Richtun
Rezeption mit sehr freundlichem Personal, Zimmer mit elektrischer Wandheizung, Wasserkocher und abends bekamen wir noch Wärmflaschen ins Bett gelegt. Beheiztes Restaurant mit vielfältiger Speisekarte, sehr gutem Essen, reichhaltige Portionen, aufmerksamem Service. Sicheres Parken im Hof. Alles gut durchdacht und liebevoll gestaltet, mit Gespür für europäische Gewohnheiten. Ein idealer Zwischenstopp, wenn man durch das Oranjetal fahren will.

Prima hotel voor tussen stop op rondreis. Kamer is ruim, parkeergelegenheid voor de auto. Het personeel is vriendelijk ontbijt goed en avondeten is a la carte en goed. We vonden bij het naar bed gaan een kruik in bed, dat was wel heel erg prettig, want het was nog al frisjes.

hotel doet zijn naam eer aan
de kamer is in orde , de vloer kraakt wel enorm en men moet wachten tot iedereen rustig in bed ligt vooraleer er geen lawaai meer is. Het diner was in orde maar niks speciaal , de meeste desserten waren niet voorradig. In de buurt zijn niet veel andere mogelijkheden.

Schönes Hotel in der Einöde
Ein sehr gut renoviertes zum Hotel umgebautes Bahnhofsgebäude mitten im winzigen Einöd-Ort Aus. Ordentliche saubere Zimmer, leider ohne Klimaanlage (stattdessen Deckenventilator), viel zu harte Betten (Aua!). Das Abendessen war prima, das Personal sehr bemüht. Auch das Frühstück war toll und sehr umfangreich und schmackhaft. Ganz schlecht: Das Wifi war so schwach, dass ein Empfang nicht möglich war. Das kontaktierte Personal hat sich leider nicht darum gekümmert. Trotz allem würden wir wieder dort wohnen wollen.

Da unsere Nächte durch die Nähe des Atlantiks ( 124km ) eher kühl sind, haben wir von einem künstlich klimatisierten Zimmer abgesehen. Die WiFi - Anbindung ist für uns genauso frustrierend wie Sie es erlebt haben: Wir haben nur die Telekom Namibia, die das Monopol hat und mit dem angestiegenen Bedarf der letzten Jahre nicht nachkommt...Wir bitten hier um Entschuldigung, unser Personal konnte da definitiv nicht assistieren.

Zimmer sind unterschiedlich gross, knatternder Holzboden, meistens aber ruhig ausser es ist eine grosse Reisegruppe im Haus. Wunderbares Essen aus dem Hotelrestaurant, verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten auf der Terrasse, im Hinterhof der drinnen, Es hat auch eine Bar.

Für Ihre Beurteilung danken wir Ihnen. Die "knatternden" Holzböden waren leider nicht zu vermeiden, da wir die Original "Oregon Pine" Holzfussböden bewusst erhalten wollten, als wir das Hotel in 2005 übernommen haben, da wir diese als etwas Besonderes betrachten und diese dem Zimmer einen bestimmten Flair geben. Wir hoffen dennoch, Sie wieder einmal hier begrüßen zu können.

Tolles, kleines Hotel als Stopover auf dem Weg von oder nach Lüderitz. Sehr gut geführt, netter Service, exzellentes Essen und gutes Frühstück. Super clean. Hier kann man getrost immer eine Nacht verbringen und gut essen.

Ordentliche Übernachtungsmöglichkeit
Eine brauchbare Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für einen Abstecher nach Lüderitz und Kolmanskop. Wir waren hier 2 Nächte. Das Zimmer war klein aber ordentlich. Ziemlich warm am Tage und wegen fehlendem Insektenschutz auch Nachts nicht zu lüften. Das Restaurant dagegen war ordentlich, die Bedienung freundlich und das Abendessen für den Preis sehr gut. Das Internet funktionierte auch am Tisch im Hof vor unserem Zimmer.

Convenient but missing some important items
A hotel in an a small and meaningless town, but useful to reach Lüderitz on day trips and shorten the trip onward. The rooms are not bad, but very cold (it was winter), with creaky floors and hot water enough even for one shower - the second guest had to wait until next morning. Quite good restaurant, lounge and bar, but open to the street, therefore cold to access in the evening.

Kleines nettes Hotel mit modern eingerichteten sauberen Zimmern, sehr freundlichem Personal und sehr gutem À-la-carte-Re­s­tau­rant, mit abgeschlossenem Parkplatz im Innenhof und kostenlosem WLAN. Wir haben uns sehr hier sehr wohlgefühlt und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.
