We had a very enjoyable stay in a well appointed garden facing room. The swing in the patio was an added bonus. Very friendly staff and we were greeted upon our arrival and the check in process was very efficient. We used hotel provided transportation to visit nearby attractions and our driver Manoj was very knowledgeable and explained many things (variety of plants, local industry etc.) on the way to our sightseeing locations. At the breakfast we had great service from Mr.Valmik and the chef Mr.Sanath. I highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this safe haven. The staff was very kind. We particularly enjoyed the friendliness and safe driving by Manuj. Our luggage did not arrive and he took us to a great shop for traditional clothing and a mall for western wear. His smiles brightened my spirits daily. We simply enjoyed this hotel and returning to the good food and kind staff in the evenings.

Wonderful, old-world charm. Our room was nicely furnished, a little run down but very comfortable. The pool and garden area is an oasis of lush greenery, and very peaceful. The breakfasts and dinners was delectable, however lunch was a slow process. Many We would love to come back to stay again.

Exceptional stay - the staff were all wonderful and pleasant. The pool staff in particular were very kind to my son. The food was excellent. The chef was very pleasant and I appreciated that he went around to personally talk to guests at table to make sure everything was just right. The breakfast options and dinner options have something for everyone. This was such a wonderful experience and I will gladly come again when I visit India.

We stayed for 5 nights and were looked after very well. The staff were always helpful. The property is a bit older than others we have stayed at in India, but it is maintained very well and met our needs. The toiletries provided in the room were especially good. We recently stayed at Gateway Hotel Aurangabad (formerly Taj/Vivanta Taj) 26th Nov to 30th Nov! travel from USA. We have always loved this property, but this trip was a complete shock. The staff welcomed us warmly, but the room we received on the 3rd floor was extremely disappointing. There was a musty smell, the furniture was old, the bathroom shower door made noise and there were white stains under the sink which made it feel like a local lodge, not a Taj property. After complaining, the front desk thankfully on second day shifted us to a renovated room on the 2nd floor and the difference was huge. The renovated rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, but the older rooms clearly need urgent renovation. My strong recommendation is that the hotel should avoid allotting 3rd-floor rooms to foreigners or NRIs until renovations are complete. Breakfast buffet service was excellent, but the food options are mostly Indian/Maharashtrian, so non-Indian guests may find limited choices. Security checks are frequent and can feel irritating, but I understand they follow protocol. Despite the issues, the staff and housekeeping were polite, professional and very helpful. They even allowed us a late checkout despite a wedding booking. I will stay again only if the renovated rooms are guaranteed.

Wonderful heritage property in Aurangabad, very convenient if you are planning to visit Ellora and/or Ajanta. Beautiful and spacious grounds with heritage decor. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Our airport pick-up arranged through the hotel was very convenient. Dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent with extensive, delicious choices. The dining room is beautiful and there is also outdoor seating in the large courtyard/garden. Unfortunately we didn't have time for the pool. Very serene, beautiful property. Rooms are large and nicely decorated - we even had a swing on our balcony! I wish we had more time to enjoy it!
