Fortunately hotel is very close to airport, about 1/2 mile, which turned out to be important as my taxi did not show & I had to walk dragging my suitcase & carryon. "We had a lovely stay at Hotel Hesperia during our first trip to mainland Spain, where we were attending a wedding in the region. Before check-in, we were offered a great-value upgrade to a terrace room, and it exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised to have the entire corner terrace to ourselves, with beautiful mountain views. It was definitely worth the upgrade! "Nicely maintained grounds. Gardens make it a nice surrounding. Available pool needs algae control. Water was clear, but algae spots could bee seen across both adults and kids pools. Rooms are a little tired, but clean and nice. It is a good rural hotel for the price. Location is away from downtown pontevedra, but right on el Camino, so it is a good space to stop. It is on top of a hill, so you will need extra legs for the final stretch."

"Lovely family run hotel in a great area. Lovely walks along the coast 2 minutes from the hotel if you want a car free day. Great location to explore this very unspoilt region. Made us feel really welcome. Lovely pool area outside. Very quiet. Worth noting that the food offering in the restaurant in the evening was very limited when we went (mid Sept.). but maybe it's better in higher season?"
