"What a splendid hotel!!! Gorgeous historic property with all the latest amenities. Every room is beautifully decorated, as is the lobby. Our room had a lovely private area on the patio. Staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful. Location is terrific - within walking distance to a variety of dining experiences. Wish we had stayed more than one night. Highly recommended!!!!!!!"

"Upon check-in, there were problems with the front desk. The usual desk clerk was not available, so another family member stepped in to assist (we were told). He was not familiar with the computer system, so that took long. Though I got into the lobby first, he helped another lady who came in afterwards (and I found out later that she was there a half hour earlier and the man was not able to assist her yet). The check-in process took a half hour. The desk clerk kept answering phone calls, which...

"The woman who checked us in was very nice. It’s went quite smoothly/efficiently. Parking was plentiful. The pool was not so clean — rather unappealing. My room was very clean, recently remodeled. It’s a simple, basic room for a great price. I would recommend. Two minor inconveniences … There is no electric plug near the sink to use with my hair dryer & curling iron. Also, there is no soap dish or shelf in the shower to put shampoo, razor."

"The breakfast was very nice, the staff was excellent. We stayed four days. My husband and I have stayed many times before. However this visit the elevator was out the entire time. My husband and I both have physical disabilities, so getting to the third floor for breakfast was a real problem. I wish I would have checked or have been notified before our stay that the elevator was not working. In addition the ice machine was also out of order.☹️"

"Breakfast was false advertising…there was none. the bathroom had black mold, the room door wouldn’t shut because of weatherstripping coming off and one of the lights was broken hanging off the wall. The swimming pool had clumps of hair in the bottom. Hidden fees at checkout. Spend the same at a Best Western and get a much nicer stay. Sadly this was a mistake, next we will stay elsewhere"

"Nothing flash, just a really good, well run comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. Staff were excellent and the rooms were very comfortable (it's just been built). Pool was spotless and the bar staff were particularly great. Good breakfast too. really like the place and we will stay again."

"They were going to charge me $10 for checking in early, but did not when I said I would check in latter. I asked for the first floor. We are over 80. They put us on the second with no elevator."

"The hotel is in a great location, just a couple of blocks from the businesses and restaurants on the Embarcadero, close by the bay, and also close to Main Street. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms and the hotel itself are immaculately clean, and they are very pet-friendly. For people wanting extras such as a pool or gym, this is not the place. It is simply quiet, comfortable, pristine, and in a great location. The prices are not bad, either, compared to other area hotels."
