This place was amazing! I wished I could stay another day! The views were beautiful and it was so relaxing. I loved using the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. It has been recently renovated- simple and elegant. The beginning of the River Trail is just down the bluff- easy to access.

We loved Desiree. She is sweet and a hustler. We saw her bring drinks, check people in, bring towels to the spa, and she also helped housekeeping with setup. We would stay here a hundred more times. Relax and retreat here!

We loved our stay at the Herondale. The property is well-appointed and has a beautiful view and position: just minutes from Astoria, and feels special, remote and secluded. The robes and toiletries are high-end and luxurious, yet the property design is simple and refined. I think for the price, a simple turn-down and replenish service should be included. (we had to ask for this) Note: do NOT forget a bath suit like I did! Very nice hot tub, sauna and cold-plunge. I would highly recommend a stay here!

The rooms were clean and upto daye the river view room faced the river with nice views. The garden room i was in as a corner room that didn’t face a garden but a walkway. The tv didn’t work properly but the fire-pit and hot tub was busy with other visitors. Glad we stayed here recommend

My room was at the far end of the property (3rd building) so views of the waterway were a bit limited. Room was very clean and nicely appointed...kudos to the cleaning service. Shower was interesting because of a partial door. Great water pressure and nice shower head. Toilet seat was a bit unstable...maybe didnt match the toilet exactly. Great tile work in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Heat and cooling were eay to adjust using the provided remote. Microwave in a room next door was odd but workable. Very quiet so slept soundly.

This property is a gem. The view from the room extraordinary. However, I cannot get past the misrepresentation of the description. Amenities were lacking. Not worth the price. There was not a restaurant, as described, plus it is not a bistro! If you charge these prices then follow thru with what makes a hotel worth it. You have an amazing property. Complete your “Wellness Center”. Misrepresentation is a big problem!

Stayed during construction. Didn't mind it at all. Staff was great at check-in and check-out. Great views of the river and super relaxed environment overall. I’d travel to Astoria again just to sit and soak the view in and explore the area from here. The room itself was super clean, great renovated finishes and welcoming.

This was the first time my girlfriend and I had been to the property since the hotel reopened after a remodel and rebranding, and we couldn't be more impressed. The staff was great, the service was terrific. We came with a pet, and chose the bottom floor. The view was breathtaking. We enjoyed a really great cheese plate and some beverages while we watched the ships from a bluff above the Columbia River. It was quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. W e liked the decor in the room. Highly recommend putting in for a breakfast basket to be delivered in the morning to your room. That was great. My girlfriend really liked the Salt and stone soaps and beauty products. I don't have any criticisms. We loved it so much, that we booked a few more nights for the following week.
