This is a nice hotel in the center of Artesia. Easy walk to nearby restaurants. The breakfast was pretty basic, just bagels & cereal.

In general this was a fine place to stay. The staff were friendly and tried hard. It just seems they were stretched thin. One thing that was unsatisfactory was their internet. It was spotty at best. Very frustrating.

The staff was great. Large rooms, very quiet. Accessible bathroom. Quality linens. The breakfast was continental only which is very difficult if you need to have gluten free choices with little or no sugar.

The stay was great and a good value for the money. Our room had recently been updated with large square tile shower, blue/gray paint, wonderful bedding and pillows. The breakfast was only ok: muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, apples/oranges but no bananas. There were two decanters, one labeled coffee, the other hot water. They were both hot water, one was just brown (aka very weak and tasteless coffee).

A highlight popped up on the Expedia website, stating that this location offers complimentary breakfast sandwiches, but the front desk clerk stated that they haven’t offered breakfast sandwiches in years! The toilet ran all night, there was a loud dripping sound coming from the refrigerator and my husband had to repair the shower plug because it was broken and we couldn’t drain the tub. (Room 212) We arrived late and just needed a place to lay our heads for the night. Needless to say, we didn’t get much rest :(

Needs a few upgrades like USB ports in rooms. The AC was a bit finicky. Clean bathrooms, with nice toiletries. The breakfast was decent. Over a nice Hotel, would stay here again.

Artesia is a wonderful, walkable city with a number of great sculptures, starting with the one just outside of the Hotel Artesia. But don’t miss the one near the library!

I didn’t know what I was getting by picking up a local hotel. But reviews were good at hotels.com and Hotel delivered it. The only thing I would change is add a vege egg for the breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Artesia. This is a unique property located right in the downtown shopping/dining area. The rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds. Staff was extremely helpful, friendly and quick to respond. We had intended to stay in Carlsbad and didn't realize until later that we we booked a hotel in Artesia. I must say, we were very impressed with the town and the many dining options right down the block. The Wellhead BrewPub was quite good for both local brews and a solid meal. We didn't try the pizza place adjacent to the hotel but it was packed with customers. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Artesia again.

Great Hotel in a Quant Town
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Artesia! I was surprised how large the rooms are. It was quiet and clean. There could be better lighting, especially in the bathroom, but thats my only critique. The location was eprfect for me, only an hour drive to Carlsbad and 2 hours to White Sands. The town is quaint with lots of history and art.

Best ice machine ever. Loved the beds and rooms. Staff was amazing. Only gripe is there is a giant oil refinery RIGHT across the street and it smells like death constantly in the entire area. This is not the hotels fault but it still kinda sucked

We checked in late due to travel. Service was fast and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable .The only negative was the channel changer did not control the volume, only changed the channels. There was no volume control on the TV itself. Seems like it wasn't programed appropriately. Room 220

Almost everything that could be bad was bad. They said I didn’t have a reservation, the ice machines were all broke, the AC didn’t work correctly, the TV remotes didn’t work correctly, the beds were not queen size which meant my feet hung off the bed. The staff was barely there and seemingly poorly trained or just didn’t care.
