"Amazing place and great location , Joao and his staff were very accommodating and helpful during my stay , would highly recommend and would book again when I’m back in Amarante , the breakfast at the bakery across the hotel was amazing and the staff there were very nice and helpful as well , I was in town in to prepare for a cycling race and they helped with a breakfast box the day of my race. "Lovely place, quiet but well located, friendly and helpful staff. I also found the aromatherapy to be a nice touch. I would stay here again if in Porto. "

"Lovely townhouse in a great location in Porto! It’s got some really cool architecture touches (e.g room ceilings are absolutely beautiful). The host was also extremely friendly and helpful."

"The place is truly a hidden gem. You feel like a guest in a home. It’s decorated beautifully. I normally struggle with sleeping in hotels but I was getting the best night sleep. The place has a coat feel even though it’s decorated like a place out of a magazine. All the staff were very helpful and extremely nice. I definitely recommend that you book your stay here. I had a wonderful time."

"Absolutely loved staying here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. In a great area outside of the old town. A plus to have the car garage. We will absolutely stay here again."

"I loved this place! It’s beautifully designed and in an excellent location — close to shopping and everything but very quiet as it’s on a small back street. Super easy to get to as well. Staff were fantastic and helpful and the place was spotless and modern. I would definitely stay there again!"
"The staff very helpful, location of the property was excellent as lots of tourist spots were approx 15 mins away.
Breafast buffet was plentiful with wide choices of items.
Porto is beautiful city, however it is hilly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it."
"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was excellent, the staff were exceptionally friendly, and my room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. These qualities alone almost make me want to give the hotel a perfect 10.
There were, however, a couple of minor disappointments. The gym was quite small and lacked sufficient equipment for a hotel of this caliber. I was able to get my workouts in, but I wish the facility had been larger and better equipped.
I was also supposed to receive a complimentary bottle of wine, which unfortunately arrived only on my last evening. In addition, it was a bottle of Porto. While appreciated, a bottle of red or white wine would have felt more practical and enjoyable for most guests than a full bottle of sweet fortified wine.
That said, these were relatively minor issues in an otherwise excellent stay. I would happily recommend this hotel and would certainly consider staying here again."
"Great smaller hotel with owner on site. We had 3 rooms for a family trip.
Staff very helpful and hotel had a charm. Not to close to everything but not too far away. I would stay here again and I am a five star snob."
"The staff were so helpful in suggestions places to visit and activities to do. The hotel and room are well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. There were many items to choose from. We are very pleased we stay at the Holiday Inn in Gaia"
