Winterfell is a gem! The host is kind and thoughtful. The room feels like a home away from home tucked in the woods. In hindsight we would have packed a picnic to sit at the table under the trees. Very comfortable and wonderful ✨

The hosts were very thoughtful. There are plenty of snacks onsite if you happen to arrive late, such as mac and cheese and organic lentils. Plenty of coffee and tea options, some drinks (including fresh milk) in the fridge. Very comfy. The place is a bit down the road, but very quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Check-in is at 4pm, but sometimes you can check in early. Just ask. Check-out is 11am. This is located near the Calaveras Big Trees and Mercer Caverns.

Friendly and accommodating host. A fire broke out in the area just as we arrived and Aaron offered to let us cancel if we wanted to leave. We stayed and enjoyed the space.

What a great find!!
What a great find! The hosts could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. Everything was perfect. It was quiet and very clean. They even left us a small box of local chocolate. There were snacks, drinks, coffee, tea. It was a perfect get away and they take dogs! Thank you for a great stay, can’t wait to go back!

A beautiful hide-out with a most gracious host
The place was immaculate and the owner went out of his way to make us feel at home. The atmosphere in the woods would have made it an ideal romantic get-a-way had we not been traveling with our son and dog! There were myriad nice touches that the owner had left to make us feel more at home and the neighborhood is gorgeous.

Amazing Place
Such an amazing stay. My boyfriend and I came for a relaxing weekend and got exactly that! An adorable place for us and for our dog. Really enjoyed the wilderness setting and all the snacks provided. 10/10 recommend and very easy access to skiing and snow!

Really enjoyed our stay. Super nice hosts. We appreciated the extra lil personal touches. Great deal and great memories were made. Only complaint is the wifi connection for netflix on TV was patchy at times but no biggy. Hope to stay again.

The place was really nice and quiet. We were able to escape the traffic noise in the bay area. The host are very nice ! I love that they have some free snacks for their guest. We would definitely come back.

Wonderful stay
We had an awesome stay. There were board games in our room to play, WiFi, and a smart tv with Netflix. There was a fridge and microwave with dishes in the room as well. Super comfy and in a lovely setting. The hosts were Very accommodating and friendly. Very comfortable stay.

Nice, spacious and quiet & private. Bed very comfortable. Good hot showers. Little cool in evenings inside-had to wrap into blankets to keep warm watching TV from sofa. Warm enough at night while sleeping, and warm in morning.

Great Place
Great place, private entrance, everything we needed except a full length mirror. Nice quiet place in wooded area. Would book again! Down side was political signs in driveway. Can’t be a capitalist while supporting socialist.

We just needed one night anywhere close to our destination. Wow, did we get Blessed. All you would need and more at your fingertips. Our room was spacious and well stocked. Very smart and thoughtfully done. It's the little things in life that makes the difference. To many to list is always a good thing. We got in late, hungry and tired. With the little town closed up for the night

Cozy spic and span cabin in a beautiful forest
Our first stay somewhere other than home during Covid. The unit was impeccably clean. There was a great selection of snacks and cold drinks and breakfast items. And a super comfortable bed.. A wonderful reprieve. We will be back. Thank you to the hosts!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Winterfell Inn. Very quiet, clean and peaceful. The bed was very cozy and comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating and included snacks and drinks upon our arrival. Lovely amenities and serene views of the forest.

We spend 2 nights in Winterfell - it was amazing! Aaron and Lynn made us welcome. We were pleasantly surprised by the very comfy bed, variety of complementary coffee and snacks and serenity of the place. It is short walk to 2 private lakes and 15 minute drive to White Pine Lake park. We even met a bear! Lynn and Aaron, thank you so much for letting us stay in your home.

Winterfell Inn fun
Loved our stay. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, and the room was stocked with all kinds of goodies to eat. The owners live on site as well and were very welcoming and helpful.

This was the perfect place for a last minute weekend getaway! Aaron was very welcoming when we arrived and gave us a little tour when we checked in. The suite has everything you need and large enough to accomodate a small family. It was just me and my husband this weekend, and the comfy bed, micro kitchen/bar stocked with snacks and beverages was a great way to end our busy day exploring Mercer Caves and Columbia State Park. Also the comfy couch and Netflix was the icing on the cake! We will for sure come back again in the future! thanks for having us!
