"A cosy place to stay in Tuscany about 30 minutes out of Florence. Super friendly staff and free parking, plus supermarkets close by. Great for self-drive holiday. Unpleasant smell in bathroom possibly from blocked pipes and we couldn't get the air-conditioner working so was challenging to get to sleep as it was warm inside and couldn't leave the window open due to mosquitos. Part of a winery with lovely Tuscan views and farm animals on the property. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"We enjoyed staying in a castle that was built in 780 A.D. It is amazing that the owners/operators provide you with all modern amenities in such an old castle. The drive to the castle is a bit of a challenge (sharp turns and the steepness of the road). The staff is friendly and very helpful."

Farm to table meals were excellent with many local options to choose from. "My wife and I stayed at Agriturismo Borghetto il Montino 5 nights in September and had a wonderful time. The facilities and staff were wonderful. Our room was very clean with good A/C and WiFi, small refrigerator. Outside was a small sitting area. Rooms will be different depending what you book, but I am sure they are all great. There is a pool (not heated but was still warm enough in September to use), courtyard where meals are served and lovely grounds to walk or sit. The location in Rapolano...

"Our host Mateo is great. He is warm and available anytime. The only downside is there are not a lot of eating places in the town nearby. But if the visitor has a car, this issue is not a problem at all."

"Volpaia was a great experience. Staying in a small medieval village was very charming. The interior temp was very comfortable even in June. Max temp outside was 82F but inside felt like 76F with evening cooling down to 70. Not humid. Several dining choices from home-cooking to formal. Centrally located to other towns in the. Chianti region. Staff were great with excellent service and communication. "

Nice food options and music on specific days Clean Cabins If you have not booked shuttle from the Figline station to this place- you may have a hard time getting a taxi from the station. I recommend to plan ahead for the commute from the train station to this property."
