Staff was very friendly - especially the gentleman who worked at night. The main door was locked and you had to ring for them to to let you in so it felt very safe. It was nice and close to the Plaza desArmes. Would definitely go back.

Casablanca is a great place for those who want to experience the feel of a rustic colonial manor. The outside facade is old and worn but inside is nice and comfortable. The rooms surround a large common space that can get a little noisy when people are up and taking loudly. Our room was spacious with a vauted white volcanic stone structure. It is located right off the main square. We loved our stay.

Es ist eine Super Untetkunft... Angel der Administrator und das ganze Personal sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Würde diese Unterkunft jedem weiter empfehlen. Ich hatte einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Plaza de Armas.

Well located but simple

The best thing about this hostal is the location. It is literally in the main square (plaza de armas). It is safe and calm. The staff wasn’t really helpful and the breakfast was not that great, but in general, we liked this hostal.

We really enjoyed our stay here, but it was a short one. The noise from outside was not an issue in our room, but due to it being an older colonial home, you hear every time someone comes and goes. They have the doorbell set up to ring throughout the entire building so even if it's midnight, you will hear it. That did not bother us too much as we were pretty tired, but if you are a light sleeper it might be difficult. The location is great though, especially if you wish to walk through the city. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location but really noisy

Nice enough basic hostel in Arequipa. Very (too) close to the main square. Noise from traffic and people throughout the night as our room overlooked the street was just a bit too much. Nice spacious room though and the staff were helpful and friendly. Bathroom facilities a little basic, as was breakfast. Worth a punt for price but bring your earplugs!!

Hotel bien situé mais très très bruyant

Hotel très bien situé (adjacent à la place major), mais très très bruyant si la chambre donné sur la rue! Incapable de dormir même avec des bouchons. Nous étions 4 amis dans une chambre et comme l'hôtel n'était pas plein, nous avons demandé au propriétaire de changer de chambre pour la 2e nuit en expliquant la situation qu'il connaissait très bien mais il souhaitait charger en double car il n'y avait pas de chambre équivalente... Pour le petit-déjeuner, il était insuffisant et pas très diversifié. Nous espérions une meilleure compréhension du propriétaire mais ce ne fut pas le cas, le staff n'était pas exceptionnel... Nous avons aussi essayé le service de buanderie et les vêtements semblent avoir et plutôt lavés et sèchés sur place en machine plutôt que transféré en réelle buanderie tel que prévu, résultat, les vêtements n'étaient pas complètement bien lavé et surtout pas réellement pliés et étaient tous froissés... dommage ces inconvénients.
