The Washburn Inn - On the Lake

"Room was comfortable. The only issues were that the air conditioner had mold and the water from the eves pounded on our air conditioner"

"Hotels.com upgraded us to a lake facing king room. Very nice. Larger than needed. Had a great lake view. On site restaurant and bar are both nice. Check in coffee was wonderful. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but looked well maintained. Windows in our room looked like they weren't as clean or maintained as they could have been, but otherwise room was great. Free breakfast was fairly typical, but had more options than I expected and area was kept clean and furnished during guest use. Great location facing the lake. Would definitely stay again. Sorry we were unable to book back-to-back nights."

"The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was clearly an older property, but was very recently given an interior renovation. The flooring, bedding, bath fixtures, coffee maker, tv, curtains, ac unit were all brand new. No odors, dirt, stains, etc. The LVP floor was very clean. If maintained as present, will be cleaner to walk on than carpet. Perhaps the hard floor didn't dampen the ac and road noise, as more noticeable, but the cleanliness exceeded expectations. The lot would be too small if booked full. Mgr said the surface and re-marking are in the owner's plans. No breakfast, (no common lounge) but they supplied a few bars and free coffee. Other snacks available from mgr. Is close to parks, restaurants and main highway into town. Huge tv in our room. Very pleased. Would stay again."

"Location was phenomenal! Walked everywhere! Sofa and bed very comfortable Loved the space-nice and roomy. It was unusually cool in the evening-kinda wish we were able to use the fireplace. Totally understand though….."

"The room was just about perfect for what we were looking for. Nice kitchenette, bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well and this was a very nice location for the walk on the path into town. Only 10 minutes and we were in the midst of the restaurants and also the boat tour and ferry to Madeline Island."
