"Room was large and had nice view, however the building badly needs major maintenance. Stairs, balcony were deteriorated Building badly needs paint and possibly total rehab/replacement. We don't know condition of other buildings. Restaurant and lounge were closed for renovation. "

"This historic resort is a gem and one of the most beautiful properties to stay! The grounds keepers obviously know what they are doing! Unfortunately the rest of the staff (front desk registration, manager, many of restaurant staff, some pool staff, some housekeeping, etc) are borderline incompetent and not hard workers! Each year it seems to get worse. The resort manager needs to go! We want this property to shine and be around for years to come!"

It is a true gem and one of the last resorts that still prioritizes customer service and cleanliness. I’ve state at places that cost 10x what it cost here and it doesn’t even come close."
