"I just returned from a 9 night stay avdchete are my observations: The hotel is very centrally located and just seconds away from the beach and the main bars and restaurants. It has good sound proofing so no disruption to sleep or rest. They have backup power generators so no disruption to air conditioning, hot water etc. There are lots of stray dogs around but they don't bother you. The area felt safe but Blue Velvet has 24 hour security for peace of mind. The restaurant staff are great...

"Everything about the resort was good. Very clean and in good shape. There was some resturants in the area that was cheeper but the high quality on the resort meals was worth the price difference! There was a short walk to the beach and it was nice to go for walks along the beach."

The bungalows are well appointed with excellent air conditioning (much needed), the grounds are filled with interesting plants having been designed and planted by the owners and everything is immaculate. The bar and restaurant area are imaginately designed and the menu delivered by a talented young chef they lured from Tana. He has his own ideas based on Malagasy and international cuisine and quite frankly, having spent 7 weeks in Mada, it’s the best food...
