After an almost 24hr journey (door-to-door), this hotel was such a soothing, serene and beautiful place to start out Guatemala trip. Both Nerys and Clare were friendly, helpful and informative about various activities, places to eat, etc. The breakfast was prepared fresh on site by lovely and generous staff - a little too large for us but very tasty. All-in-all, highly recommended!

I had a fantastic time at Hotel las Marias. The staff were so helpful and kind. They helped me to arrange an excursion as well as airport transport. Breakfast was delicious and my room was very comfortable. The hotel is in a safe, gated area and is a fairly close walk to the main square.

Little paradise

Beautifully stunning! Don't be fooled by the noisy road outside. As soon as you enter the gate, there is a serene silence. And a gorgeous compound. The hotel is very clean, there is a lot of attention to beautiful details and the staff is very friendly. Great breakfast, hot showers, comfy beds, CLEAN!

Absolutely amazing! Location: Not in the heart of Antigua but close enough to everything. City is incredibly safe with cameras and emergency buttons. Staff: Kind, understanding and accommodating. The sweetest people! Hotel: breakfast is included and it was hearty and delicious. Room is simple and spacious; ours did not include AC but nothing a little crack of a window can’t fix.

Our stay was fabulous. The staff is amazing and so helpful. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. The location is prime for the market, restaurants and museums. We had the best stay. The hotel’s unique atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. Very safe security with a key gate also. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff is very helpful and very accommodating!! We loved our stay here! Although limited with our spanish speaking, the staff was great and everyone seemed so very welcoming!! A big shoutout to the senioritãs in the kitchen for the lovely breakfast they made every morning!! Coffee was good! All our requests were heard and possible answers were given. The gated community provided extra security and everything is at a walking distance!!! Highly recommend, just make sure to ask for a fan if staying during summer!!!

This is a beautiful, pleasant hotel. The breakfast is delicious! The staff is always available, courteous, & knowledgeable. If asked for improvement would be for nicer bath towels.

Great place to stay, I’d say they have one of the best black bean’s recipes! The only thing I disliked is the car entrance. (You need to step down from your car an open the gate by yourself)

Good place

Good place to stay, not our first time. It’s close enough to walk to the Central Park, is secluded, includes a great breakfast. We’d recommend not to stay in room 1. It’s next to the kitchen and gets a bit noisy.

La Antigua Stay

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to easily book tours and transportation directly with the front desk, making it very convenient. I was able to communicate with them as well via WhatsApp to book transportation from the airport to the hotel. Breakfast was very good and made to order - limited menu, but excellent choices. The room was comfortable and bathroom was in excellent condition. Housekeeping was provided every day. Gated community makes it safe and easy to access. It is a little far from the action, but that is OK because it was very peaceful and quite.

Small quaint and typical hotel tucked away, maybe too well. The hotel is comfortable with a great garden in the center of the hotel. Hotel staff are excellent. However, the hotel is located at the end of a property with another hotel, apartments, and home behind a gate. The Hotel Marias signage is poor, which made it difficult for us to find it (took almost 15 minutes to finally call a number on the gate). Better signage with instructions about how to enter is needed.

Nice option for Antigua. It’s in a gated community so a bit of a hassle to get in (you have to call ahead to get them to open the gate). But once you are in its very safe. The hotel itself is nice except I got the room next to the laundry and kitchen so it was very noisy. I’m an early riser so not a big deal but Don’t let them put you in room #1 if you want to sleep past 6 am. Breakfast was good.

All the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond. I was given recommendations for places to eat. Each time I came in or out there was always someone friendly to say hello or enjoy your outing. They arranged airport transport for me and even made me coffee and a little breakfast to go at 2:30 am. The breakfast included was made to order, which was delicious. This on top of the beautiful courtyard with lush plants and hummingbirds and fountain made my stay great. My two minor gripes are there was a strong damp or musty smell in my room, which I know is due to the tropical environment. I was easily able to mask it with burning incense they provided. Also that its a bit out of the way, but its in a secure neighborhood, so I felt safe, and I was able to get plenty of steps in due to this, so not a big deal. Plus, you pass by some cool ruins on your way into the city center so its a nice walk. Overall I loved my stay here and would definitely stay again.
