The bustling market is just too busy for some. Once a week a large market would be held in Mahatalaky, drawing in buyers and sellers from the smaller surrounding villages. In the building pictured, it was mainly cassava that was sold (you can see it on the right hand side, towards the back). #market
Madagascar, a country in which people eat more rice per capita than any other country. I can confirm this from watching the team of Malagasy builders I was working with at the time make mini Everest's of rice at every meal
