"The room looked nice and the bed was comfortable. However, it lacked privacy, cleanliness, and “quality.” We only got one towel. The wash cloth and floor mat had stains on them. The hard wood floor was dirty and sticky, like only a vacuum was run over the main walking area when you enter. I booked a non-smoking room, which the front desk employee made sure to emphasis what “non-smoking” meant in an almost insulting way for no apparent reason, and our bathroom smelled like someone smoked in there. The shower leaked from underneath, leading to a puddle outside the shower anytime we used it. Our privacy and blackout curtains didn’t fully cover the window, and thanks to the giant floor length mirror right by the door anyone can see in to the beds in the room and it didn’t help fully block out the sun. They also state there’s no room cleaning unless requested, and no door hanger for privacy, so imagine our confusion and surprise when someone started knocking and then opened our door. Our keycards stopped working and we had to get new ones after less than a day. Parking situation isn’t great, there’s limited spaces and in the evenings it’s full and there’s a giant pond in the middle of the lot which makes it hard to fit the cars into spaces because you don’t have room to back in or get far enough out to turn into a space."

"I’ll start by saying that Dora at the front desk was wonderful! Very helpful and very friendly. There were serious plumbing problems that were going on Saturday morning but even though Dora was working alone that morning she took great care of us and got us moved to a new room. The part of our stay that was very disappointing was the “continental breakfast”. I know continental breakfasts are not fancy spreads, but some fruit, instant oatmeal and yogurt cups would have been wonderful. Coffee, juice and cheez-its is not a continental breakfast by anyone’s definition."

"Perfect spot for our weekend in Georgetown! Baxter was a great host and was incredibly helpful and nice. The rooms were clean and well kept, and the proximity to the waterfront couldn’t be beat. The beer and soda were also fantastic! "
