Visiting son.
We had a very nice stay at Hotel Brunner. The bed was very comfortable and it’s basically a king size bed although it says double. Breakfast was good too!

Great to have every room indivually decorated by local artists. Fridge was there Cealingfan And Windows could be opened. Carpark in garage a bit tight for bigger cars Great breakfast Always again

Great place to stay.
The location of the hotel is excellent. East walk to downtown and just off the main riad. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the room was very clean.

Loved this little hotel. Checkin and staff were great. Really nice breakfast. It’s right at the city wall. Hope to come back again.

Lovely rooms in Amberg
Very easy to find from the station. The hotel is in tip top condition after a recent refurb. Our room was decorated with lovely stylistic pictures of Amberg, everything was spotless and the bed very comfy. Despite the heatwave, we slept well, with little noise coming in the open window. Breakfast was varied and good quality. Shame we only had one night there, as Amberg had a very good feel to it.

Very friendly staff, and the location of the hotel is great. I had stayed here previously and had a room with an air conditioner, so I expected the same, but this room didn't provide one, which is my only issue.

Nice and clean and centrally located
We spent 3 nights there with our 3 year old in a double room With extra bed. Checkin was very friendly despite us arriving after midnight. Breakfast was good for a very little price and also parking garage a great price. Walking distance to all of the old town. Super friendly waiter during breakfast. We will come again.

The hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from the train station and located in the Egg of Amberg which is an amazingly nice little town.

Nice hotel on the edge of the old town
It is easy to see why Hotel Brunner is rated number 1 in Amberg. The breakfast rooms and common room are in the typical attractive style that Germany is known for. My wife and I were in room 39 which had a desk, mini bar, comfortable bed, TV, and was spotless. We are in our upper 60's and this city is great for walking. The cobblestone streets have flat sidewalks which made getting around easy. Shopping, restaurants, and town square are a short walk from the hotel. The train station, nearby, has a small grocery store if there is a snack you want that is not available in the hotel. The old town is walled but has a paved walking path around it. It is a little over two miles long and is a nice enjoyable way to relax and see the city from a different perspective.

The hotel service was wonderful. It felt more like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel room. I felt welcomed and well treated. The room itself was comfortable and quiet. The location of the hotel is a minute from the train station, though not close enough to hear any trains passing through.

Very friendly staff and nice accommodations. The wifi is pretty spotty in the back of the hotel. I often had to go sit in the lobby in order to get a signal. But I was otherwise very happy with the hotel

Quaint hotel in a city over 1,000 years old
The Hotel Brunner is a nice, old hotel in a 1,000 year old walled city. It is well cared for, the rooms are nicely appointed and the beds are very comfortable. We would most certain go back for another stay. The hot, full breakfast was a great way to start the day. There was always someone at the front desk that spoke English, a BIG plus in most cases.

Great Hotel in good location
Lovely boutique hotel, close to train, shops and restaurants. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Booked a single room and was given a double at no extra charge. The rooms are in excellent condition and the bathrooms look newly renovated. Perfect place to stay when visiting Amberg.

A very pleasant hotel that reflects the safe and tranquil atmosphere of Amberg. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide range of choices. I appreciated the friendly staff. Location--excellent! A lovely stroll to square and shops. I would stay at the Brunner again and again!

Superb experience.

Amberg get away
For a small town hotel in Germany, this hotel is excellent. Slept better in this bed than in some major hotel chain beds. Most of the conveniences of a 4-star major chain. Has a convenient parking garage below the hotel, but best if you have a small vehicle. Staff was extremely polite, professional, and helpful. Serves a nice, fresh breakfast every morning, great way to start the day.

Great hotel - outstanding location downtown, on site parking and conveniently located near the downtown parking garage as well. Clean and nice rooms, as well as friendly staff - I would stay here again.

Schön gelegenes, sehr modern und künstlerisch-verspieltes Hotel. Großes Zimmer mit angenehmer Raumaufteilung (Bett stand in einer Nische ums Eck). Sehr freundliches Personal, üppiges, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück. Die eigene Fahrradgarage mit Putzzeug etc. ist top. Sehr gerne wieder, volle Empfehlung!

Ein schönes Hotel. Jeder kümmert sich, daß alles in Ordnung ist. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Auch Wünsche werden nach Möglichkeit sofort erfüllt. Leider ist die Seite mit den Balkons nachts etwas laut. Nicht nur die Straße sondern auch die Jugendlichen bei der Unterführung bieten eine etwas nervige Soundkulisse. Mit Fenster zu ist es aber ruhig. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Bar hat bis 0 Uhr geöffnet und ist damit so ziemlich der letzte Anker für Nachtschwärmer. Alle anderen klappen vorher die Bordsteine hoch. Schade, daß am Sonntag zu ist. Es war ein kurzer aber schöner Aufenthalt. Sollte Schwiegermütz mal zum 90. einladen, kommen wir gerne wieder.
