"Room had amazing view of the mountains and a little balcony where we sat just taking in the views and the sounds of the birds, cow bells, and thunder. It was a very clean and comfortable modernized room. Loved the bed! No elevator, but I loved the rustic vibe. Front desk very friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful and updated property. It’s nice to have the modern juxtaposition with the authentic Swiss surroundings. The staff was so kind and offered amazing local suggestions. They treated everyone like they were the only guests there. We did everything Svenja mentioned and had the best time. Fun story how the brothers run this spot and their parents run the hotel next door. Will be back!"

"Amazing view and room character with the true Swiss feeling. The hosts, Linda and Dani, were so nice and friendly. We all enjoyed the stay very much in the hotel."

"This was everything we had hoped for and more! We booked a superior double room. It was spacious and had two large single beds pushed together. Our room had chairs for seating and the bathroom was big enough with updated facilities. The shower was also nicely sized (vs the standard ‘cruise ship’ style tubes usually found in Europe). "We had a truly fantastic experience during our four-night stay at Braunbar. The staff was friendly and attentive, the amenities were great, and the breakfast spread was AMAZING. Our room’s balcony had an incredible view and we could have sat there for hours. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were the perfect size. "Go for the mountain view; if the weather is not cloudy the scenery would be incomparable and inexpressible. The staffs were so kind and willing to help us in every way. Also enjoyed whirlpool, spa, sauna and swimming pool. Deeply satisfied with the hotel - will give 11 out of 10 and recommend you to stay here if you were to stay in Grindelwald. "

Depending on your room location, it can be loud on Wed. nights due to the weekly street festival if you need to open windows. "Wengen is a hidden gem and this property was fabulous! I stayed with my 4 kids on the top level, which was a space with 2 rooms and a loft. We had plenty of sleeping space and magnificent views of the mountains and valley. There are cute shops and fantastic restaurants in Wengen. Hotel Falken offered a nice breakfast, and the staff was welcoming and helpful to us during our stay."
