"THIS HOTEL IS NOT IN RANGE FOR THE MACHU PICCHU OR SACRED VALLEY TOURS. The hotel and staff was very sweet and helpful but I did specifically book the Torre Dorada because I was under the impression we could be picked up for our tours, hosted by Lima Tours, but I was informed then evening before by a guide we had to meet them in the main square. "Charming hotel in an excellent location, a few minutes away from the main square. Even though San Blas is a very lively part of Cusco, the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. The room wasn’t luxurious but was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and always happy to help. They were very accommodating in that we dropped our luggage off before taking the train to Machu Picchu and it was waiting for us upon our return and checkin. "Overall great experience. Wonderful staff, amazing breakfasts, comfy beds and accommodations. It was a little noisy at nights with dogs barking (I think there were dogs somewhere in the actual hotel!) and street noise as the windows open to the street on some sides and have very little insulation. The showers were just OK and sometimes also ran out of hot water. The drinking water station needs refilled more frequently, it was consistently empty when we needed to fill bladders or bottles."

"Location is a bit far from Plaza de Armas, where all the restaurants and action is. You could take Uber which would be very cheap and worth the savings for the hotel. Breakfast is included and wifi was great. They had a water station as well. Front desk staff was not in the best of moods, probably one of the colder exchanges I've had in all of Peru, but bang for buck this place is not bad. Just not close to anything"

"I absolutely loved the Novotel Cusco! The staff was super friendly, and very helpful. The Novotel is located in the perfect location, quick ride to and from the airport, and a short walk to the main square in Cusco, tons of shopping & dining. Rooms were spacious, quiet, very clean, with extras like a mini bar for purchase. The lobby has a wonderful ambiance with tons of natural light, and the included breakfast was amazing. Most importantly, I felt safe here traveling as a solo female. "
