"The standard of customer service is exceptional. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is a very relaxing lounge area and the Caskieben bar offers an excellent food and drinks menu at reasonable prices. We were particularly impressed by the swimming pool which is perfect for those with young families. The breakfast offer was similarly very good and well organised. We will be back. "

"Our stay at Marcliffe was wonderful and felt truly luxurious. The staff went to every length to make sure we were comfortable. While there were small mix-ups with our breakfasts, the inconvenience was quickly overshadowed by the service of having the meal delivered to our room and the delicious cooked meals. "This beautiful hotel located in a charming victorian town was a wonderful place to stay. The staff that were present were lovely and very helpful, however, the dining room service was quite slow. It was clear that the restaurant is understaffed. All that aside, the food was delicious and our room was very comfortable and attractive. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to our friends."
