"The vibe was so calm and relaxing. The breakfasts had a huge variety of food, and were tasty. The beds were less firm than usual Portuguese standards, but quite firm by UK standards. The pool was a delightful respite from daily life and as it was quiet, we often had the whole space to ourselves. The staff were lovely. The local town was a bit quiet, and developing in tourism. "It is a beautiful property. No hot water at first but corrected quickly. BBQ restaurant was outstanding. The main restaurant for dinner was totally disappointing with the food not cooked as requested and fish special tasteless with undercooked vegetables along with it."

"We loved, loved, loved this hotel! It gave us a truly 5-star experience. The hotel is a converted convent and was a historical site in and of itself (it comes with it's own church which is beautiful). The property is very well maintained with pretty grounds (full of fruit trees and flowers) and amenities. We used the gym, indoor pool (there is also an outdoor pool), hot tub and sauna - and enjoyed them thoroughly. Our room was very big with a super-king bed - we had great sleeps each night. Breakfast and dinner were very well done. Breakfast is abundant and with quality food. Dinner the first night was at the Italian restaurant, Olive - and the food was absolutely delicious. The second night we ate at the Portuguese restaurant and it was also very good. The reception and room staff were very pleasant and quick to address any of our needs. We would say that this hotel is definitely an experience that I would recommend!!"

"We had a wonderful stay, the suite was spacious and beautiful. Both the outdoor and indoor pools were stunning. The restaurant was great too, 5 stars all round 😃 one suggestion for QDC, it would be great to have a more casual/snack bar option for lunches or dinners, to give an extra option"
