"Hotel was very nice, well maintained and clean. Staff were friendly and location is brilliant. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and we very likely will stay here again. The only complaint I’d have (very minor point) was the air con in the room could have been a little more powerful but it did the job."
"Immaculate clean rooms in a pleasant, fairly large hotel just meters from one of the best white sand beaches in Europe. Staff were all great. Good supermarket only 5mins walk away. Negatives: It's very much a child-friendly hotel -- as we knew and nothing wrong with that -- but even so it felt unnecessarily sterile in the evenings, with the kids singalong more or less the main event at 20:30, and aimed at very young children. Most guests over the age of ten looked pretty bored to me so I don't think the balance is quite there for the whole family (frankly if they just played some 70s-90s pop and let the guests hang out it would be better). Poor water quality both in terms of pressure and heat, and chemical taste. Very poor little rusty gym. Overall we loved the room and location but nothing about the hotel gave us reason to become repeat visitors - unless we were to come back with toddlers in the future!"
"We had a very enjoyable stay at Grupotel Port D’Alcudia and I would recommend this to families with young children looking for a good value stay.
The accommodation was ideal, super clean and the beds very comfy. Whilst there was evening entertainment, the hotel is quiet, not rowdy and we were able to sleep well every night.
Location is good, about a 5 min stroll to the beach, a convenience supermarket directly opposite the hotel (but there is a bigger Lidl about 5-10 mins walk away too). To walk to the Port took us around 20 mins with children, and there is a bit more going on there, plenty of restaurant choices, shops and the marina to enjoy."
"Beds were slightly uncomfortable memory foam type. Room was very basic but I guess that is all you need. It was just a place to crash at night for us as we were out early every morning and not back until late. We needed somewhere that didn't include breakfast so it was perfect in that respect. The pool was nice. The parking was a little crowded and cars got so jammed in sometimes that I feared we would be able to leave early but we got away with it by claiming the positions that couldn't get blocked. However, just shy of £400 for a three night stay, even in August, I feel was a bit steep for such basic a room. Otherwise it was great."
"Nice surroundings with uninterrupted views to the distant mountains which gave a picturesque sunset backdrop at night.
We stayed in Vesta rooms which were spacious and close to the main areas of the pool, reception, spa, and dining rooms.
Our kids are 16 and 14 and we were fine using the adult pool which was the best option as it was a good size and normal depth. The main pool was a bit disappointing being a bit small and shallow throughout.
We also used the adult dining room and bar which avoided the queues and noise of the main dining room.
The food option for breakfast was fairly standard but ok. Dinner was a bit limited and repetitive. The hotel tried a few theme nights but the offer was limited and ran out quickly. Our daughter is vegetarian and there was very little choice throughout our stay that suited her. We were all inclusive and thought the best food option was the lunch restaurant by the pool, which had a good selection. Food was made to order and delivered by waiting staff. Although some options had an extra charge.
The hotel is fairly isolated although there’s a good bus service to both Pollenca and Alcúdia beach which also stops at the old towns.
Overall a very nice hotel with good facilities with welcoming and helpful staff."
