"Absolutely gorgeous place! We were in heaven there. It’s a beautiful lodge in a field of colorful flowers. And the location is wonderful—it’s in the adorable mountainous town of Upala, right by Sensoria and La Catedral, both of which I highly recommend (but farther some of the other hiking trails). "Great stay! The staff immediately greeted us took our bags AND gave us drinks then cold towels. Checkin was so smooth and throughout the stay the staff were friendly and all smiles! The SPA was the best part, both ladies were respectful and served us bubbly and scrumptious chocolates after massaging us! The property and swim up pool were impeccably maintained. My ONLY complaint is at checkout a desk woman said we drank something from the mini bar that we had act bought outside. We told her that we didnt use any of those items but she insisted we did. We payed for it to avoid conflict but after we payed almost 900$ gladly for services at the resort youd think the staff would know we have no problem paying for an 8$ drink IF we had actually drank one. lol"

"I came back to Lost Iguana because of the rooms, and while the room I stayed in is spectacular, the service and friendliness of the staff could not be improved. The restaurant was able to accommodate very challenging food allergies and it was still very tasty and healthy. I will be back."

"Absolutely amazing place. The swim up bar and views of the Arenal volcano are breathtaking. The staff was always helpful and so kind. Club rio has so much to do and great with kids. The food was top notch… plus you can eat anywhere with any menu which is great for families. You can’t come to this area of Costa Rica and not stay here. Everything you need or want is here and if it’s not they will set it up for you!"

"The Hotel property was very clean and nice. The room was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 24 hr shuttle service was reall 24 hr. You can just come and the shuttle will be there for you in 5-10 mins. The breakfast was wonderful. I would stay here again if needed."

"We loved our stay at the Volcano Lodge and Thermal Experience. It is such a beautiful property to enjoy. The thermal experience area is beautiful. You can see the Arenal Volcano from there. The room was clean and nice. Staff was great. Breakfast had so much to offer. It left like an all inclusive place. Beautiful property and I would like to come back and stay here again. The balcony was private and so beautiful. Overall I would rate is 10/10"

"We had a fantastic one night stay! One of our favorite experiences of our entire Costa Rica trip was exploring the hotel grounds early in the morning. We saw parrots, toucans, coatis, monkeys, and more. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The family room we stayed in was spacious and well appointed. I had a massage at the spa that was fantastic! I highly recommend this property and would stay again without hesitation. I hope we have the chance to!"
