What a beautiful place! The owner was wonderful and so accommodating. He booked reservations for a wonderful dinner at La Ferme, that is just down the street and was helpful with some printing. The room and grounds were beautiful. Only problem, wish we could stayed for more nights.

Amazing location, hotel, pool and restaurant…close enough to everything even without a car as taxis were no problem - 10/10 recommended - would just say breakfast could have a little more to offer!

Very nice hotel in a beautiful setting. Lovely, comfortable outdoor spaces. Great, friendly service all around. Two wonderful dinners at the restaurant. Quick drive or taxi into Aix. We loved our stay at Domaine Gaogaia!

Beautiful and clean place, excellent staff. The breakfast is way below the one in other places we stayed at. Besides hand soap and shower gel, there are no other toiletries.

This property was the nicest part of being in Provence. We went sightseeing in the day and returned for dinner several nights. The room was the most charming French atmosphere from the older beams and doors to the beautiful windows with shutters. Our room was on the corner of the domaine and looked out over the property. We will be back for sure! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

The property is a beautiful old French villa with beautiful grounds, swimming pool, terraces. We arrived late after but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

What a lovely hotel! My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and we loved it! Food at the hotel restaurant was excellent! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Free parking was a plus! We will definitely stay again.

Lovely chateau style hotel with a popular gourmet restaurant outside in the countryside about 15 minutes of Aix.I arrived at 8 pm so the restaurant was buzzing and nobody was manning the hotel reception which was the same as the restaurant reception -so highly confusing after a long journey. The guy who finally came did not seem aware of my reservation, but after a lot of questions he was kind to lift my suitcase up the flight of stairs. Room was very clean and well equipped-I liked having a proper kettle rather than a Coffee maker- however shabby chic decor chipped or unpainted furniture and door, was odd with the beautiful contemporary bathroom and bed and lamps. I had upgraded to a room with a lovely patio- unfortunately did not get a chance to sit on it! I would have liked more than one towel even though I was only one person!!! Traveling as a single person has been difficult in French hotels, but this restaurant made it a little easier. they sat me on the edge of restaurant near open kitchen which made it interesting for me and the servers were very attentive and solicitous. I had the best lamb dish I have had was at that restaurant! Breakfast was simple but sufficient and again the servers were very helpful in teaching me how to use the various equipment and getting ice for my water bottle and did not make me feel awkward as a single traveler. . I would return with my husband for a more relaxing stay in the lively grounds and to use the pool and patio!

We stayed two days on vacation. The ambiance is great - a nice country Provencal. The pool perfect - service was amazing. The staff was always helpful and pleasant - and very nice to our dog.. A staff person put some ice in our dog's water bowl to keep the water cool. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. They have a bar area that serves tapas which was popular with the locals. The hotel is only 15 or 20 minutesfrom Aix. Overall, a super experience and a great place to relax in the country.

Everyone was amazing!! Very peaceful! The lady that checked us in, she even went into the kitchen (restaurant was closed) to prepare us a cheese and ham platter with bread since we had told her we were starving from a long drive. For dinner, th lady at the restaurant, Oce, was great and gave us some great recommendations of places to visit in South of France. Great property!

Absolutely beautiful spot. Great outdoor pool - it was a joy to swim after a long, hot day of touring. Restaurant was excellent also. Room (triple) pretty spacious by European standards. Only issue is we couldn’t find towels for the pool (but we also didn’t ask because it wasn’t convenient). Oh and also there is a huge pothole at one of the entrances - on a dirt/gravel road leading to the property. It really needs to be fixed because we hit it hard and we’re worried we had damaged our rental car. Otherwise the hotel and service were great and we loved pro stay!

Beautiful setting and our room was decorated in a farmhouse chic style. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding super soft. We slept really well that night. The hotel itself was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The manager/owner even had food made for our baby when the restaurant was closed. We loved it and will stay here again someday.

Great place but service let it down
Amazing location with great facilities. Dinner so so - chicken was over cooked, although my husband said his steak tartare was delicious. Service very slow at dinner and ever so slightly surly. No one around at breakfast when OJ and food was running out. Smiling staff would be a huge improvement.

Nice quite hotel in rural location.
The hotel is set in a rural location and as such is quite. Its ideal if you have a car and want to be away from the city centre. Its an old hotel but we found it charming. There is a nice restaurant on site with a beautiful glass sun room. Rooms are generous size.

Quiet stay in country
Quiet location, restaurant closed the night of our stay - had to go into village - 6-7 minute drive. Room could do with a bit of improvement. Breakfast good.

It’s a nice location...
I so wanted to like this place. It’s in a wonderful country setting and he building itself is very nice. But there was something about the ambience that didn’t quite work. Perhaps it was that there had been a wedding at the hotel, but our welcome was not quite what you would expect at a small hotel; and the much vaunted restaurant was only serving a buffet (?wedding leftovers). Thereafter, it was expensive breakfast buffets; it would be easy to double the cost if you room in the restaurant. Our room was small, and quite noisy from the corridor as others have pointed out. There is a large pool but it wasn’t very child friendly. Final gripe was that there is not enough parking for guests; the overspill car park is down an unmade track likely to damage your hire car. Suitable for people who want the full country hotel experience.

Dear Madame, Dear Sir, We thank you for your stay at the Domaine. Few answers to your comments : how can you imagine that we serve "leftover" from the weeding ??? Have a look to our website and you will see that the menu is "homard- Pièce de bœuf-wedding cake …" so different from the sunday's evening buffet. The price of our full breakfast is 12 € with croissant/pain au chocolat, 4 kinds of fresh breads, cereals, fruits fresh and dry, yaourt, faisselle, fruits salade, Provence honey and marmelade, ham, cheeses ...I never saw this kind of buffet at this price somewhere else. Best regards

My wife and I had such a lovely stay at Domaine & Cie. Was greeted by a lovely lady during check in (who I assume was the owner). She brought us to the room and gave us a quick overview. We got a room with direct access to a quiet shared courtyard which was great for early morning tea and coffee! The room was modern, clean and had just the right touches to give it a great country feel without the “dated” look. We had dinner and breakfast at their glasshouse dining area which was really pretty. Clean, comfortable and would rate it higher than 5/5 if I had the option to.

Nice hotel right outside of Aix
Nice hotel. I believe it is used a lot for weddings and events. only accessible by car but it was a great fit for us as we were traveling through Provence. Beautiful area and very short distance to Aix. Room was good, nothing luxurious but had everything you need and clean.

Second time the charm..!
We tried to stay here first a week before, but due to some misunderstanding our reservation was cancelled. They were very sorry for the inconvenience and did everything they could to remedy the situation, starting with wine... Hotels.com was immediately in touch with us to help us find another location. Customer service was superb. A week later we decided to give them another try, and we were so happy that we did. First of all the location is all you would want from a Provence setting. Our room could have been bigger and the bathroom supplies should have been more upscale for this Hotel, but we are very easy travelers, so it didn’t bother us. The restaurant is one of the best in the area, had an amazing meal with great service.
