Bit of an unpleasant first impression with security guard deciding whether he would let us in - travelling with my 16 year old and had confirmation that he was welcome but that information apparently never reached the gate. Main Property is beautiful but there is large parts of the hotel grounds which seems to be a building site/abandoned. I see now why they offer to drive you to gym/spa/indoor pool area! "I enjoyed my stay at Riad Lai Ou Lik very much. The owner and the staff made my stay extra special. Marrakech is a busy city so it’s nice to settle in to a clean, quiet, and comfortable room after a day full of activities. The pool was a perfect place to soak after hiking and long walks. The breakfast is the best I had in Morocco. I highly recommend staying at this special Riad. "

"If you want a restful night of sleep do not stay in this hotel. The rooftop bar turns into a club and there is loud thumping music until midnight. We were offered to switch rooms at 10 pm but opted not to because it would have been a huge hassle. As it turns out from reading other reviews there are no quiet rooms in this hotel. We tried to get some compensation but the manager refused the request. There are many other places to stay I would definitely avoid this overpriced hotel."
