"Never seen that, superb part of the world, hotel could be a 9/10 but the staff is horrible, rooms are ultra small (can’t shower without touching either the wall or the glass). Food at the buffet is terrible, almost no Greek option, nothing fresh, frozen food and deserts, staff is ultra rude (when not just away). Pool is dirty, never seen a hotel where people don’t use the pool… avoid if you don’t like a huge effort walking from bedroom to amenities.

"We were only there for one night but were especially impressed with how clean the room/property was. We enjoyed the dinner buffet and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was very spacious and we had a chance to enjoy the balcony for our morning coffee. We would stay here again if in the area."

"Our first visit to Elounda Mare was in May 1987, and returning again in May 2026 felt like reconnecting with an old friend. The hotel still retains its unique charm, elegance and warm hospitality that made us fall in love with it all those years ago.
