Everything about Getfam is amazing!
Classy hotel with super friendly staff who spread good vibes and amazing customer service. The (free!) sauna and jacuzzi are also so relaxing after a long day of work. Highly recommend!

The property is given wrong star. This property is like max 3 star. Place is not clean. Most of things doesn't work including elevator,light and it's in construction currently. Parking is very narrow limited space in a basement and difficult to enter for bigger cars like SUV. Very limited supply of toiletries and you get one towel and old

Even though it's location is in one of Addis Ababa's busy streets, a few meters from most shopping malls and tourist attractions, you will enjoy the serenity once you enter the hotel.Most of the staff are friendly,welcoming and professional.

It wasn’t bad. There is no access to temperature control of the rooms. There were cracks in the bathroom and the food menu didn’t provide all of the items actually available in the kitchen. However, the staff are very friendly and responsive.

From what I saw, the property is just okay. It’s located around a lot construction so when you open windows there’s a lot noise. I didn’t get a chance to visit the hotel as I was self quarantine in my room for 2 days. Improvement are needEd for the food choices and the service staff to listen and deliver as ordered. Each meal I ordered had some thing wrong with and had to to returned which takes about 1 hour.

One of the person who is short dark skin at front desk are mean and he tried to overcharge me and I had to go to a different person because of his service did not like it. also room service and the bar take forever when you order something not a good place to eat when you’re hungry.

Comfortable room.
I traveled during CoVid 19, which makes the trip diferent than most. Hand sanatizers were placed at higher traffic areas (front counter and resturaunt). Front desk sanatizer was empty every time and resturant was empty by day 2. Open self-serve breakfast even during this time, however very few cases in the country. Phone instructions in room said "dial 9 then number" for local, but turned out must dial 0 and be patched through. Some slight service slips were not bad. Staff was not rude, but less friendly than the first hotel we stayed in. Perhaps a little xenophobic at that stage in the pandemic. Great hot water shower and comfortable beds! Overall pleased with our stay. They changed us the same price on our early check in day as the pre-paid night. That was very helpful.

I hesitate to criticize the hotel as the staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very old and not kept up. The showers did not produce hot water, the toilets did not flush properly ( and management was informed), the carpets are worn and smell.The location is on a very busy city street with a very narrow sidewalk and no place to walk. A lot of pollution from the diesel cars/trucks. The pool is beautiful except it is rented out for birthday parties ( 2 while we were a guest which basically closed the pool. The children enjoyed themselves, but there was no space for an adult to swim and all lounge chairs were taken by the parents of the birthday party attendees). There were many non hotel guest adults who swam at the pool as members of the pool/fitness "club". Was not conducive to swim as a guest of the hotel. And I am sad to write this, but the food is horrible. Not fresh not tasty and nothing special. I would never recommend this hotel. Sorry to be so critical, but this hotel should be rated as a 2 star hotel.

Nice rooms, good location excellent spa
Very happy with stay except for pick up at airport which was delayed (would have just gotten my own taxi if i had known). Otherwise good customer service, nice breakfast buffet and excellent spa services. Would recomment, i will be back.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the staff in the lobby bar where we ate and drank a fair bit. Yhe rooms did have a little bit of a musty smell. I would stay here again.

The staff were excellent but this is by no means a 5star hotel. At best it is a 3.5 based on the food and the standard of the amenities. The bathrooms are in average condition. There is noise from the outside. There’s no minibar and snacks which is typically found in 5star hotels. The gym is basic. Breakfast is average. However it felt safe and the staff were very warm and welcoming.

Staying at Getfam was the best decision I made in Addis. I arranged a hotel shuttle through Expedia messages. My room was large, clean, and had many TV options. Many staff members are proficient in English which was very helpful. I used most of the ammenities including the gym, free 10 min neck massage, restaurant, and luggage storage. I was able to safely and easily walk to meet a tour about 10 minutes away.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Getfam. It's in a great location yet somehow seems to be one of Addis Ababa's hidden gems. The stylish lobby is breathtaking and for my visit proved to be a perfect place for meeting with people. The restaurant was excellent - especially the fresh fruit and croissants for breakfast! My room was really comfortable - easily comparable with the best of the rest. But the truly outstanding part was the people. The hotel staff treat you like a friend. It was fun to be there. From the front desk to house-keeping nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

I particularly appreciated the restaurant and its staff, although the menu was limited. What was frustrating was the wifi. The only area with decent connection was the lobby. Once you got into the rooms in higher floors, you lost the connection. Also, I was given a different type of room than the one I booked on the account that there was a AU Summit in town.

I am glad to hear that you have appreciated the restaurant and the staff, and would like to inform you that a new menu with a wider international variety is going to be introduced as of April 01,2019. As for the WiFi, you are completely right and we are aware of this critical issue due to the access points interferences because of the atrium style of the hotel. We are currently in the process of negotiating the installation of a new system specially suitable to our property. The AU Summit period is indeed the highest season in town and I really regret if we were obliged to accommodate you in a different type of room as the one originally booked.
