"This hotel is close to downtown Catania (about 2 km walk). We were able to choose between a room downstairs or a suite upstairs. We chose the suite because it had a small kitchen and a private terrace. You have to take fairly narrow spiral staircase to get upstairs but this was not a problem for us. "Too many steps to check in. Air conditioning didn’t work and there was no staff available at night to remedy the situation. Bright spot for this hotel was the location and great breakfast."

"Great hotel near airport we used for a night before our morning flight. Pool was a great bonus to use on a very hot day. Front desk staff extremely helpful. Only downside was the poolside food options we used for dinner as we couldn’t wait for the restaurant opening at 8pm. Stay away from the lasagne….terrible frozen version."

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay and ended up extending for two more nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our entire trip. Having breakfast on site was both convenient and delicious each morning, and a fun bonus was meeting all the adorable local cats and kittens in the area that ran right up to us! We did have a few issues with some of the things in the room being broken, such as the shower leaking a substantial amount of water onto the floor if the water hit the sliding partition, but we learned how to avoid that quickly after the first time. The beach is rocky, but that is a norm for the area. As long as you have water shoes, it is beautiful!"

"Overall experience was very good. The suite was unusually decorated, large and clean. It was at the front of the hotel and there was some residual noise from the street. AC was good and housekeeping was efficient. It’s in a good location for Via Etna, Piazza Duomo and other spots and very close to a host of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to interact with them. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not in keeping with the style or ‘sense’ of the hotel. The restaurant struggled to keep with the demand of a lot of guests having breakfast at the same time. There was very little information about the services in the hotel. Nothing in the room or advertised around the hotel. The gym was very small."
