"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. "Fabulous room and excellent breakfast. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. It is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Such a quirky old building has been updated to a very high standard whilst still retaining the charm of the original beams and uneven floors. The lit stove in the reception gave a warm welcome each time we entered. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. A very relaxed stay, I hope we will be able to visit again. "
