Abbey of Saint-Germain

The hotel is perfectly situated in the 1st arrondissement, near to major attractions, restaurants, shopping in the metro. I really enjoyed the boutique feeling of the hotel; it felt intimate, safe and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The café located in the lobby offers a quaint seating area to relax or have a snack. The rooms are nicely, decorated and the beds are comfortable. One area where they could elevate the guest experience is to provide room slippers, and a bathrobe. I would definitely book another stay here.

The property itself is very well maintained! Most of the staff were incredible and very friendly, with the exception of one of the front desk staff who was dismissive. All 3 nights of our stay, there was outdoor construction happening on the top steps of metro station just outside our window commencing at 3 am - 5 am. This included the use of heavy machinery ( circular saw cutting stones and metal pipes) all night long. As a heavy sleeper, I think anyone sensitive to noise might want to inquire about potential interruptions before booking, since there isn’t much the staff can do.
