The resort is very beautiful and immaculately maintained. It is quiet and relaxing, the sand sea and pool are all fantastic. The bar service is very relaxed, so patience is required.

We stayed at the resort for our honeymoon in one of the sunset water villa rooms. The resort blew away our already high expectations with their service and the facilities. The staff accommodated our requests and everything required for our stay was available at the resort. Special mention goes to the staff at Iru restaurant, the dive centre and the spa (we visited twice!). Would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a place to experience Maldives!

The staff were so lovely. The chefs were so engaging and they made the meals an experience. The Dive centre was so convenient, safe and friendly. Best Diving and very affordable. Loved the experience because of the people.

Worst experience ever, I flew all the way from the USA thousands of miles with my pregnant wife, to come to encounter the worst experience of our life. I was staying for 5 nights. Wife is pregnant and the speed boat both ways didn’t care about it and I informed them to reduce the speed during transport from the airport to the hotel. We were literally jumping from our seats from the speed of the boat. I checked in room 418 with a jacuzzi. second issue I wanted to change my package upon arrival before paying from all inclusive with alcohol drinks to full board instead. Management said we can remove alcoholic drinks since you don’t drink but we can’t change the price because it’s all calculated together into your stay. Third, we went next morning for breakfast come back to see room service didn’t even dare to change the mattress covers bathroom towels were changed room was rearranged and organized but mattress cover were the same we had a blueberry stain and came from breakfast to see the same covers. Forth, as mentioned wife is pregnant we often requested a cart. Their response was we only have one cart, another respond was we only use it for emergency, my respond to them SHES FREAKING PREGNANT IN HER FINAL MONTHS CANT WALK Fifth issue we go check out the jacuzzi find out that it’s rusted and paint pealing and metal showing Excuses me… I’m not paying thousands of dollars to come sit in rusted jacuzzi. Will be filing claim

In our opinion, it is not worth it.
The place is good. The island is amazing. The hotel is a little bit old. In our experience they don’t offer activities, so, in consequence is boring most of the time. The prices for activities are really expensive compared with what they are offering. We book 2 rooms (for me and my family) and the experience is the same for all of us. We book for the bungalow over water and the beach that you have access directly from the bungalows has a lot of rocks, so you can not have the “Maldives experience” entirely going down to the water from your room because is dangerous and not pleasant at all. The communication with the resort is by email through a third part office in Male, so they take long to reply. They basically kicked us out the room 15 minutes before the check out time, they started to ring the bell non stop and demanding that we gave them our packet suitcases. The swimming pool is in poor condition. The options in the all inclusive are limited. The Staff is really nice. But Don’t expect an amazing experience in this resort.

This property was amazing! I celebrated my birthday solo and this was by far a peaceful and serene property. I had a water bungalow suite and it’s beautiful. I was able to snorkel right in my backyard if my room. My room was super clean they have wake up and turndown service if requested. The staff is so welcoming and they will remember you your entire stay. Every restaurant, front desk, excursion rep knew the exact day of my birthday they had a surprise every time I arrived. They decorated my room for my birthday as well. The morning of my birthday I participated in Zumba at the restaurant deck. The spa omg is the best spa service I’ve ever had. They start off with with a cup of tea and then they let you sample all of the oils and you choose one for your massage. I reserved the massage with 2 women that massages me at the same time they also gave me a birthday gift after my services ended. I will definitely be back to visit. If you do not like spending time alone then you should definitely visit with a significant other, but if you just want peace and time to hear your thoughts then this is the property for you. They also had a night beach party for the hotel guests, pay a small fee to join in with a DJ, unlimited drinks and fun. Now I would say be mindful the island bars usually shut down by 12a or earlier. Seemed like the people visiting the island went to sleep early every day lol.

It was our first time to Maldives and we were so glad that we have chosen Cinnamon Velifushi. The view from the sunset water bungalow was AMAZING, day and night. During the day we could see three different shades of blue in the ocean; in the evening we could see sunset and at night we could lie on the sun bed and do star-gazing. It was a different sunset and nightfall everyday, and everything feels so unreal like it was straight out from a painting. We could jump straight into the water under our water bungalow and snorkel. There’s so much marine life down there even though it was only around 0.5m to 1m deep. Life jackets were also provided in the room. It was perfect for beginners to try out snorkelling conveniently and safely. We saw 3 baby sharks, 1 stingray, school of small fishes and many more! There were many activities and excursion choices available from the resort. As we were in the premium all inclusive package, we had 2 excursion choices and one dinner at the beach. We went to the sandbank and it was such an experience! There was only another couple who went with us and it felt like we had the whole sandbank to ourselves. The water was so clear and the sand was so fine. Love the ambience at the dinner by the beach as we could really see stars in the sky. There were some hiccups here and there but ultimately they were resolved promptly. Staffs were polite and nice.

Do not go to this hotel !
Had high expectations for this hotel given the reviews I saw but do not be fooled liked I did. This is NOT a 5 star resort. The service was terrible: unfriendly staff who do not take any feedback into account, zero communication about an excursion we wanted to take, which meant we ended up missing it. The transfers we booked to and from the airport are actually shared with other guests which means we had to wait 45min at the airport to take the boat with other guests. They also planned to take us to the airport 4 hours before our departure time, resulting in a very early wake up call. On top of this, the simple activities such as kayak and paddle boarding are chargeable (when they are actually free in other hotels). The island is very small and there is only one restaurant which serves below average food.

The whole experience was amazing, the villa was amazing with perfect views and being able to snorkle right off your balcony was perfect, the waters are crystal clear and warm and marine life is out of this world. The staff and service is the best I have ever experienced, the food is plentiful and of top quality. definitely go fully inclusive, it is so worth it. I rate this 10/10 as it is truly superb.

Amazing experience
Faultless resort. We stayed for a week in one of the water villas with half board. The room was super spacious, cleaned twice a day. There are fish, baby sharks, reys, all at your footstep. There were plenty of food options and activities. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Excursions were a bit pricey but it's to be expected as you are quite isolated

Paradise on earth. Our only complaint was the beverage service at the restaurants - very slow. Otherwise the food was divine and varied and generous! The overwater bungalows were heavenly and worth the ‘upgrade’ we would have been disappointed with the beach bungalow personally. So if you’re wondering if it’s worth the money for a little bit of luxury, then yes it is! In the same vein, I don’t think the jacuzzi or pool are worth it as you’ll be in the crystal clear waters every chance you get! They are shallow and warm - bring your water shoes!

Our stay was incredible! Property was beautiful & the staff really went above and beyond to make our trip special. We celebrated our honeymoon at Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives & the staff created a memorable experience for us. We highly recommend this property and will be back to celebrate again.

Our room had breath taking views, the grounds were immaculate, food was delicious,staff was attentive, and it was certainly a vacation of a life time! AFU, Pradeep, Malcom, Sondom, and Sunday are just a few of the staff who made our vacation memorable and left us planning our next visit to their beautiful island!

If you want a place to disconnect this is it. Everything from the boat transfer to check in to leaving was excellent. There was only a slight issue with check out and mainly it was because my flight was so late in leaving. I was able to experience both a beach and water bungalow. Both were spectacular. Food was good. I'm a picky eater and normally could find something to eat. Was in half board but bumped up to full board. On the inclusive package not all drinks are covered. I traveled alone and never felt unsafe.

Utterly beautiful location, peaceful, tranquil and literally swimming with aquatic wildlife. The overwater bungalows are beautifully appointed, although maintenance is needed on the outdoor decks, due to weather-related wear and tear. The food is, sadly, not 5-star but the location and the staff team make up for that.

I appreciated the remoteness and beauty of the location. The staff were members were warm and welcoming. Thank you Jameel for your speedy, responsive, & discreet cleaning. Thank you Hasan for your great service during dinning. You knew what we wanted proactively and provided it after verification. The island is clean, no trash in sight! There is plenty to do should you want to do an excursion, snorkel, use the spa services, or just relax at the pool bar/beach. The only opportunity is that the Merlin restaurant isn’t being utilized effectively. It’s not really a restaurant. The area could be used as a yoga location or for guest social gathering/organized activity area. Overall it was a very lovely stay and I would be pleased to stay again. Thank you Cinnamon Velifushi for everything.

This resort was absolutely beautiful! The staff were all professional and courteous. The food was beyond delicious. I cannot recommend this resort enough. The Maldives is my favorite place on earth and this resort does not disappoint!

Very friendly staff. Property well kept. Food OK. When you get an all-inclusive plan, snacks should be available as part of the plan... when you want them, not just at certain hours! Would still recommend this resort!

This is a beautiful resort with great snorkeling. The room was larger than the pictures show and the food was amazing with several options. I didn’t care for the 2 different all inclusive options. My option didn’t have many cocktail drinks to choose from. An all inclusive resort should include all drinks. The service was excellent in the buffer style restaurant where all the food was served. I actually never saw the other restaurant open which requires reservations and is an extra charge. The spa was terrific and we used their services twice. I highly recommend this resort for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Hint: get the seaplane transfer and not the speed boat.

only get the Jacuzzi, you also get more privacy in the terrace plus the amazing sunset. The water was amazing and if you get the Sunset overwater villa with the jacuzzi, you can snorkel right off your villa. If you prefer a better view of the incredible blue water, then the other villas might be better for you since the sunset villas are over rocks but we really liked being so close to the reef. We saw many different types of beautiful fish, including reef sharks. The hotel in general was incredible and the staff was so attentive. Our waiter, Hassan, did a fantastic job. He learned our drink order and every time he saw us at the buffet, he would get our drinks and water without even asking. It was a very personalized experience and we really enjoyed learning more about Maldivian life from him. We also went to a sand bank and on a one hour Jet-ski excursion around the local islands to see more of the beautiful Maldives and that was the highlight of our trip. Because of Covid, you cannot go to the local islands so that was the next best thing. Our housekeeper, Jameel, did an amazing job at cleaning the room and even the jacuzzi every time. The only drawbacks, the service at the pool bar is very slow and the pool needs more cleaning or painting but overall, we had an amazing honeymoon.
