"We were able to check in a little early, which we appreciated. The room was a standard hotel room with a wonky sitting area that was too crowded to be comfortable. The breakfast was not great - super small area, out of food, out of coffee, crabby employees trying to get through, no seats available... We were part of a group, and others were given a room where the thermostat didn't work. The hotel knew about it when renting the room, never sent someone to fix it after being informed, and...

I will add that the architecture and layout of the rooms was a bit out of the ordinary. It's a bit hard to explain, but I defiantly got lost at first. "Check in was a breeze, the hotel was very clean, the room was spacious and clean with gorgeous views, and the amenities were fantastic! The free s’mores were delicious and so fun, I loved the fires outside, and the hot tub being outside made for great views while you soak. Having a restaurant on site was so convenient and the food and service was great. If you want to branch out, it is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to plenty of options. "The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay."
