"There was a man, Bor, who was so friendly and welcoming. This property felt so luxurious but also homey. The Michelin restaurant served absolutely delicious local food. We slept so well here. It was so quiet with antique books everywhere. The bath was so nice in the bathroom with everything you could want - robes, slippers, conditioner, shampoo and Epsom salt."

"Lovely hotel located half way between Mirmare Castle and central Trieste, 5 mins from the waterfront, good bus service outside. Very quaint and old fashioned but perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. They provide rice crackers at breakfast, as an alternative to bread (useful if you are gluten free) Staff were friendly and helpful. Windows were double glazed in our 2nd floor room, so no problems with traffic noise. Free Wifi was ok for social media etc."

"We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was much larger than expected, with lots of space to spread out. The hot tub was also a huge bonus! The location is excellent too - a small and cute village that is a short drive to hiking trailheads and amenities. We would definitely stay here again."
