"The hotel is in a good location, with access to stores and restaurants. BUT BEWARE OF THEIR RESTAURANT!!!! (See below)
Rooms have good views, and staff (outside of the restaurant) are competent, and very hospitable. Beds are comfortable, and the buffet breakfast is varied and tasty.
However, we had a TRULY BRUTAL dining experience in the restaurant. We're a couple in our seventies who arrived hot and tired after a 6-hour boat transit, and we just wanted water and a decent meal. No such...

"Convenient but rooms need update. Lots of dust and mosquitoes
Smell stale.
Need new rugs in hallways and filters need cleaning.
Some staff don’t have smile on face.
No microwave in rooms to warm food etc. very small eating space in rooms.
But very secured with security for safety.
Halal option not available as all meat kept close to each other giving rise to food contamination.
Should have separate table for halal food option.
Spoon not provided with cutlery.
But yeah love the...

"The staff at the property are amazing. We were there for 10 days and as time went on it was like they were family. From when we arrived, we were greeted with a song. There are three restaurants so there is variety for everyone. My husband went on the river tubing excursion and loved it. The rooms were very clean and anything we needed staff were always helpful"

"The dryer wasn't working and they brought a portable dryer. We were advised that they would have a replacement the next day. No one came to check or even bother to call to ask. Such an inconvenience when trying to complete laundry.
Had to ask for the second TV remote for the room.
A proper check for the room and facilities needs to be conducted before guests check in."

"AVOID THIS RESORT!
Tambua Sands Beach Resort was an absolute disaster. Appalling service, incompetent staff, zero accountability and a complete waste of money!
We booked through Expedia on 20 August for 25 September, reserving a Beachfront Bure with Plunge Pool and Outdoor Shower. Upon arrival, we were told OUR CONFIRMED ROOM HAD BEEN GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE! Staff blamed a software change and told us to sort it out with Expedia ourselves. After two hours on the phone, we rescheduled for 17...
