"very nice surprise, a lot of history to the place especially if you are into the anglo boer war, Paul Kruger etc. Met the owner, Robert Forsyth, very nice and friendly person, full of knowledge about South African History. The room we were in was very spacious, it also included a sizeable bathtub. There are 60 something rooms in the lodge but they appear to be spread out as I only saw maybe a dozen which made the place very private. "Game rangers Neil and newly appointed Carel were fantastic. They are so passionate about their jobs and so knowledgeable. We had wonderful game drives with fabulous sightings of 4 of the Big Five. The leopard alluded us despite Neil and Carel's best efforts. Only small criticism is that lighting in the lounge of the Executive Suite was poor. It was impossible to read or play cards in the evening. The room needs better lighting. A fantastic stay though. Highly recommended. "
