"We were surprised with how well maintained they kept the town houses. Everything was clean. The views outside and the surrounding areas were beautiful. The staff at the concierge was friendly and gave us a coupon book and recommendations around town, make sure you don't miss that. They have better services than most hotels. "We were here for a weekend tournament. The room was fine, standard hotel, clean. There’s a nice lobby where we had breakfast and hung out with adults from the team. But the staff stood out… there was a young man running the desk much of the weekend who was so friendly and helpful, assisted us with a very reasonable late checkout when our games went late, and was working nonstop on what clearly seemed to be a 18 hour plus shift. We will definitely be back!"

"Nice rooms, great setup, it was a little dusty around the doors that are locked shut especially in the master bathroom. The coffee bar set up in the main building was a joke. Super slow and does just 4 ounces at a time. It took 15 minutes for 3 of us to get a cup of coffee. Otherwise a great stay and convenient."

A world of subterranean wonders, a milestone in geological discoveries, Luray caverns, is a wonderful weekend getaway for those who are living near DC or Virginia. It is around 2 hours (or more) drive from washington DC. This is a picture of the "Dream Lake", a spring of water which has a mirror-like appearance. Stalactites are reflected in the water making them appear to be stalagmites. This gives an illusion that the lake is deeper. The lake is connected to a spring that continues deeper into the caverns. All in all, it was my first time exploring caverns. It was a fun filled day, learning the stories of the cavern. Tips: 1) It is very crowded on weekends and holidays. If you want to enjoy peaceful, slow paced, less crowded tour of the caverns, go on weekdays. 2) If you visit the caverns, look for these things- Saracen's tent - scarves and shawls of translucent calcite, falling in graceful folds, fringed with a thousand patterns, and so thin that a candle light can reveal the structure within! The fried eggs formation - yes, it looks like fried eggs ;) The Great Stalacpipe Organ - An actual organ which plays music- sounds of Stalactites! DO NOT miss this one! #Nature
