"This is an excellent hotel located within walking distance of city center. We had a party of three, so we received a two room suite, which was excellent. The breakfast was great - had plenty of choices. The suite had a balcony which was a nice place to relax in the morning or evening. Staff was very helpful and courteous."

"The hotel property is a beautifuly restored very old mansion with its historical character well maintained. Each room is unique with patches of original stonework and timber, while at the same time having modern bathroom facilities. The location was perfect for walking around the center of the lovely town. IiIn addition, the owner was very personable and helpful."

"Väldigt trevlig personal. Väldigt rent och fräscht. Läget var perfekt. Frukosten var bra. Rummet städas varje dag. Skönt att kunna lämna nyckeln i reception så man slipper ta med den till stranden. "

"The Fortezza is a lovely hotel in a great location within the old town. Nice rooms pool, bar area and the the staff where very helpful. I cant fault the place, if you are visiting Rethymnon i cant think of a better place to stay."

"Quiet and peaceful, appartments. Friendly and helpful staff, food freshly cooked to order. Swimming pool was nice with plenty on sun loungers avaliable. Appartments were well aquipted and spacious. Would stay again."

"Nous n'avons passé qu'une nuit. Petit appartement propre, kitchenette,le lit très confortable. Piscine(pas chauffée) Petit déjeuner à volonté à 10€/pers.(5€ pour les moins de 12ans) Plage à 10m."

"Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom a little dated but clean and functional. Breakfast had a decent selection of pastries, a few hot items and meat and cheese. Convient location to bus station and old town. Wifi worked well. "

" Très bon accueil. Personnel disponible et très sympatique. Nous avons passé un très très bon séjour et nous reviendront l'année prochaine. Piscine parfaite, service et cuisine excellente, chambre agréable, tranquilité. Hôtel calme et près de la plage. Transport publique facile. Environnement manifique. Un patron très attentif et très présent. Globalement très surpris par cet hôtel. Encore merci pour la gentillesse de l'ensemble du personnel, c'est très appréciable. "
