"The staff at Spearfish Canyon Lodge and Roughlock Falls Restaurant never tried to charge me a fee to use my Visa DEBIT card! The restaurant Cheyenne Crossing did try and charge me a fee to use my debit card, which is a federal offense. Different rules apply to charge card vs. debit cards. "I don’t know how bad I could rate this place, yeah I know they’re doing construction work, but that wasn’t pointed out, the carpeting in there was wrinkled and needed to be ripped up badly, and you had to walk through the casino to get to the front front desk, which really wasn’t a front desk. It was a gambling desk. The place basically sucked. I would give it a zero stars if I could."

"5 stars all around!! I stayed here as a stop on my cross country road trip and this was by far the best place I stayed. The staff was incredibly helpful, the room was so comfortable, and the breakfast was phenomenal. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we enjoyed every part of our stay. The door to the shower/toilet room opened inward so that it blocked the shower door. It was just all too small. The hallways outside the rooms were narrow and scratched up.
