Je commence donc par un cliché récent, pris dans la forêt d'Orient, en Champagne-Ardennes (où devrais-je dire la région "Grand Est"). Alors que j'attendais depuis quelques minutes déjà que ce petit jeune se décide à lever la tête, un avion de chasse de l'armée de l'air, passant au dessus de nos têtes dans un vacarme assourdissant m'a permis de prendre cette photo. Comme quoi, vive l'état d'urgence...

"The hotel has let itself go quite a bit, but apparently the rooms were done over and the price was right, so I thought I would gove a It a go. When I arrived, first impressions weren’t good. "Family of four heading South.The hotel was easy to find and with plenty of secure parking.The hotel was modern, spotless and the reception friendly. The room was like a mini apartment sans kitchen, with a separate toilet, shower room, two bedrooms (one double, two singles). Super comfy beds and we all slept the whole way through. Breakfast was more than adequate. If you are looking for the absolute best breakfast (a sport for many, including us), this is not it, but don't let that deter you. Bread, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, a few toppings for musli, crepes, bacon, eggs, pastries, fruit, juices...as you can see all of the main things, just not in the abundance and variety of some other hotels. Free hot drinks throughout your stay. This hotel is now our default "four hours from Calais" hotel. Wonderful stay."

"Very comfortable room (the ones with a balcony in the range 31-36 ish). Warm (it was end Nov), attractive, carpeted (always a bonus), beautiful sunrise view. We’ve tried all room types over 20 years at Val Moret but this is our favourite so far (already booked for next 3 visits). Reception lady was very helpful and attentive. This is a really good travelling stopover choice. The restaurant is consistently very good. Menu choices are seasonally varied and of a high standard. Presentation is excellent, flavours well balanced and varied. Desserts are always amazing. The waiting staff are professional and attentive. This restaurant punches well above its weight. Always have Champagne with your meal. "
