"The resort seems to be fairly new and still in construction. We had ants in our room for the entire stay and called everyday for someone to call resolve the issue. I also noticed that other guests were shown around the property and we were not. The hospitality could have been much better. "

"Bananas on the beach was such a treat to stay at last week. Their whole front desk and staff were very sweet and were able to answer all questions. Upon arrival they took our bags to the room. The room itself was very clean and neat. The water pressure shower was amazing and the AC worked very well. The tv in the room is a smart tv and you are able to stream using your own logins which was a classy touch !! They offer laundry services for $10 a load USD , this was very helpful. "Staff at Mata Rocks is exceptional, from the manager Ernesto to the bartenders and wait staff to the housekeeping staff. They helped with everything - cart rental, snorkel tours, restaurant recommendations... Room was very comfortable (except it needs reading lights for the beds.) Pool was fun and spotless, and the beach area was immaculate. Bonus points for having pickleball courts!"

"It is definitely a long treck on a bumpy rd with a golf cart to get there. But once you're there it's a pretty nice place to unwind and get away from everything. Definitely stop by one of the supermarkets on your way out to stock up on supplies. But if you don't the restaurant has very delicious breakfast, lunch and dinners at a very reasonable price. All of the staff was very polite and helpful with anything we needed. Will most definitely stay there again on our next visit out that way."

Axel, the manager, seems to be the only adult on site and when he is not there the seemingly adolescent staff neglect their duties with glee.
