"Many parts of the hotel were not well air conditioned; very warm and humid. You can tell the property is old; carpets seem worn and dingy. Several families were staying that let their kids run and scream down the hallways frequently and would leave their doors open while blasting music. I was approached my three different, very young kids who all asked me for money. The hotel seems to be in a nice area of town but these interactions were unsettling to say the least.

The location of this hotel is an absolute gem. It’s incredibly close to everything you need—a Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Jewel-Osco, Starbucks, gas stations, Gurnee Mills, and Six Flags are all within seconds to 20 minutes away. Most importantly, the naval base is only about 12 minutes out.
The facility and our room were clean overall, though the hallways and our room had a noticeably damp, tangy, smoky odor...

"The room seemed clean, there was just a an odd smoky smell that permeated the room...or.maybe pet odor? It appeared people could bring pets which is a negative for us due to my allergies. I should have called to ask. Otherwise the gal at the front desk was courteous and efficient. I thought the bed was relatively comfortable."

"Overall a decent stay, but amenities fell short of expectations
The room itself was comfortable and met expectations, which was a highlight of the stay. However, a few areas left much to be desired given the price point.
The breakfast offering was noticeably limited — just breads, yogurt, and waffles, with no juice or beverages available. For a hotel at this price range, a more complete breakfast spread would be expected.
