"Place was near the station which was very convenient. Rooms are quite dated but with what you pay for it is really not bad at all. Staff was very nice. Toilets unfortunately always had pee on them when I stayed there. Does tend to get noisy with all the cars if your room is next to a road. Also have to give a deposit for a key which isn't the best for a solo female traveller."

"Nice vintage style Motel with Box Hill station easily accessible. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms were very clean and you're in a nice quiet location with surrounding bushland. Highly recommend, especially if you're travelling on a budget as it's so well priced. Will definitely stay again."

"Avoid this place at all costs Firstly, there is no mobile phone reception, which makes communication extremely difficult and inconvenient. This should have been clearly disclosed before booking. Secondly, the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. We had someone staying there from the 4th of March until the 10th, but after one night where he was slightly loud, they asked him to leave on the second day. "Definitely not for Karen’s but not hostel is. The guy running has great morals and stands up for what’s right. Super easy guy too get along with and makes you feel safe and comfortable. We actually ended up extending due too the 24/7 in house security. Top bloke!"
