The room is tastefully decorated with fine Laotian touches. The patio leads out to the pool, the aircon is quiet and cool and a welcome after a two day river trip down the Mekong. The staff bend over backwards to make your stay a real five star experience. When it comes to dining you soon discover that the best restaurant in town is in your hotel. You sit at a table under the moonlight that reflects in the lotus and lily ponds. It is an oriental vision inspired by Claude Monet's Water Lillies. It is a scene so fittingly Laotian and Gallic. Come breakfast time, the same restaurant is the venue for a Laotian, French or Western petit dejeuner, enjoyed in fine surroundings with attentive staff."

"This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff and service. Every single interaction with staff was helpful, kind, and welcoming. From my first phone call to arrange a pick up to the airport, to the manager, Santi, walking us out to our ride back. My one issue was Expedia lists a gym for this hotel and there isn’t one. In hind sight, I’m glad I didn’t know there wasn’t a gym, because I would not have booked this hotel. I would have missed out on a perfectly delightful experience."

"This is by far one of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed! We absolutely love the arquitecture and the furniture. Our room faced the river. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Every morning I looked forward to the breakfasts because they had lots of options, even for a vegetarian like me. In addition, the staff was professional, kind and very helpful."

"We started our two week trip travelling through Lao, Cambodia, and Viet Nam at Angsana Maison Souvannaphoum and this is the hotel that gave us the most special memories. It was a little oasis at the end of a main street in Luang Prabang -- easy walking distance to temples, restaurants, markets, and the river, but was peaceful and beautiful. As far as we were concerned everything was perfect from the wonderful room with a generous balcony to the beautiful fabric artwork on the walls to the pool area sanctuary. Our highlights, though, were the staff -- so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgable -- and the restaurant where we ate every night because it felt like home. If it weren't a 20hour plane ride away, we'd visit more often."
