"Two night stay, very nice room comfiest bed we've slept in for ages. Michal was very attentive even though he was kept busy a lot of the time. Easy 10min walk to city centre & on site parking. Little bit of noise. Ate breakfast once, good value & nice ingredients, could have been a little warmer & would have preferred freshly grilled tomatoes rather than tinned ones. Would definitely stay again & recommend. "

"Everyone I interacted with during my 3 day stay was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Definitely a shout out to the concierge Matteo for his excellent service in helping me plan my time and transportation. Sarah in the spa gave me a wonderful massage. She is so knowledgeable and helpful. First impressions are so important and the greeters at the front door are so pleasant and welcoming. The Grand, York is in a perfect position to stay while exploring the town and is within minutes...

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. I liked the room I stayed in better the first time, but I was still happy with the old world charm of this property. The breakfast is great and the staff are super friendly. My only complaint was my room was close to where bottles were being dumped into the bin, not a huge deal expect there were some nights that they would be dumping bottles multiple times well passed midnight which would wake me up with the loud crashing. "

"The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"No bottled water in room, was told they had none left, which i thought was a bit odd. Also had to ask for toilet roll. Bar selection was limited, not much choice at all. We have stayed there 3 times now and this time it seems likevthe hotel is struggling. "

"All excellent apart from additional parking charge and having to leave car keys due to double parking. Breakfast was very nice although smoked salmon portion on my eggs was very sparse. The receptionist was excellent."
