"This hotel is a real gem. We had a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of the lake. We never had dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was fantastic - lots of options and all delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We also each had a Triglav Massage which was amazing. It’s a short walk down to the lake (though it’s uphill on the way back) - approx. 30min walk by the lake into town. We really enjoyed our stay here. "

"We stayed in Bled for one night on a longer trip through Croatia and Slovenia, and the Grand Hotel Toplice wasn't our most luxurious stay. Our room was quite small (not a lot of room for laying out suitcases we had from our long trip) and not very renovated. The bathroom was small but fine. "We loved the traditional nature of the property and of course its position in relation to the lake. It is really handy for everything and the views off the balcony are excellent. I enjoyed a nice swim although it is just a pool for relaxation really and not large enough for proper swimming. Hot tub with a view lovely though. Breakfast was really good with lots of variety. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we wanted to explore the town, so can’t comment on food more generally....

"The property was nice and our room was comfortable although it was supposed to be non smoking and there was an ashtray in it and a cig but in the window. No AC at this hotel and it was hot. The breakfast was ok but eggs were always burnt. The staff was very nice except for the lady who checked us in the first night. She was knida a snobby person, we had been trveling for 20 hrs by the time we checked in and she was less than friendly. Very good location and lots around there to walk to. Good...

"Don’t let the term hostel deter you from booking this wonderful hotel. While they do have bunk rooms with shared bathrooms, we booked a beautiful room with ensuite bath. It was quiet and extremely clean. The location of the hotel is walkable from train or bus stations and is in the heart of the historic area of a lovely town. The view from the hostels back terrace and our bedroom was amazing. "

"Der Eingangsbereich und manche Details wirken etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Apartment ist sehr hell, freundlich und praktisch eingerichtet. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nur die Matratzen waren für unseren Geschmack etwas sehr weich, aber das empfindet ja jeder anders. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Empfehlungen für Spaziergänge und auch zum Essen gehen im Ort waren alle sehr gut."

"Wonderful and very reasonable penzion a few minutes uphill walk from Lake Bled. The proprietors, Dalja and Peter, were extremely helpful in making sure I took advantage my 2 day stay. Also, I experienced an unfortunate accident while on a hike and again provided much assistance towards recovery as well as genuine concern. The penzion is charming and provides a substantial breakfast with many choices. Would recommend unconditionally, particularly those traveling on a budget. "
